  • the lobster is dead the moment it was cut into half. those movements are caused by some electrical bio stuff . those people who learns Biology will know what causes those movement.

its like the dead ,when they suddenly moves. they are dead but somekinda scientific thingy going on in the body makes them move lol. and if you guys like to CRY so much about killing the lobster . you guys better not eat anything bacause whatever we eat are living things. even Vegans eats living things=plants

  • EVIL PLLZ! D :|

  • Lol at all these homos crying about a lobsters "feelings" grow up its a bug

  • you just said "all you need is salt and butter and maybe olive oil" and then you go ahead and put all that spice over the lobster... you are contradicting your self!

  • Too bad the people in DISTRICT 9

didn't know about this recipe .

    Solve world hunger

    tasty treat !!!

  • u should do a stuffed lobster recipe.with more seafood stuffed inside of it.

  • @heyjustthetip

I'll check with Tom about that.

  • @RecipeCook sounds yummy cant wait.

  • @leefhetgoedeleven I agree. it's totally stupid killing this little lobster by cutting him SLOWLY into half. what with this piece of shit chef?

  • wtf bayleaf?, and celery and all that other shit, and you said you wanted to taste the lobster. u should of just kept it at garlic and butter, bayleaf i cant blive that!

  • Its funny to see how many people grow up with no knowledge of how things work. Weather it be cooking lobster or something else.

  • what the hell is the difference between cutting a lobster with a knife and getting eaten in the wild

  • @Jose04811 I don't know about the chef, but personally I'd love it if the consumer had me with some bacon, maybe a side of flavored melted butter. No garlic, not my thing. Also, a nice frigid beer would be great =]

  • that man should not be allowed near a lobster ever again

  • Did you guys see the legs moving after it was cut in half and its shells were cracked

  • @CerMichael01 I couldn't see it. It broke my heart. This lobster have feelings... I bet it was scared when they were talking about eating it.

  • @Blake55XeXeX I know its mean

  • yo shouldnt you boil it first then do that i herd the meat taste better that way because its getting cooked alive

  • @Jose04811 killing animals for meat in slaughterhouses is no different

  • @pakhero4lyf Only industrial slaughterhouses, which i would sooner starve than buy from by the way!!!

  • @Jose04811 Grow up Jose. All of us will have our moment of pain and death. Why should a lobster be any different? I say a quick prayer, whether I kill a deer or a bug, as a reminder that my time will come. Respect for life is way deeper than your shallow sissified view of never killing to eat. You aren't above the fray brother. We all have blood on our hands.

  • @rlaycock When your time comes, you won't feel any pain. This asshole chef was cutting the lobster into half slowly. I can feel it. this lobster is same as you. both of you and that lobster have feelings. it totally hurt when you're getting cut so slow. have you ever tried it?

  • Come on but he could have given a slight knock oh his head and killed him instantly before cutting . I have done that with crabs so many times

  • @niteshmohite that doesn't work with lobsters. Best thing to do is to just put him in the freezer for an hour before you boil him, or cut him up. He goes into a peaceful coma and pretty much dies peacefully if you do it right away,

  • 3:23 *wave*

  • I think people are so dumb now days all meat comes from creatures that are living and they MUST die in order to eat the meat so grow up and see the natural cycle of life things die so others can live. lobsters eat crabs, sea stars, sea urchins, plankton and small fish, how humane is it when the kill something to death

  • even the mermaid from that one movie with tom hanks ate that lobster like a darn animal and she's a fish..so i guess it's ok lol

  • @Jose04811 Dude dont be a pussy. This is how nature works. Bigger creatures eat smaller creatures.

  • @Jose04811 Hey jose dude, how dumb and sick are you to actually come onto youtube, search for this knowing his going to kill a lobster, and watch it? I still dont understand how people on youtube are so stupid and ignorant. So unless your dumb then you have no excuse, you know what it is, you know what it says, you know what your watching or about to watch? If you dont like it? Then why do it. Do you really have nothing else to do that you have to come here and say stupid shit like that.Grow Up!

  • @ThrashingIsMyBizness I did type how to cook a lobster. and I know a lobster will be killed. but not the way they killed it. by cutting it into half SLOWLY. they could have just stabbed his brain or cut his head so he won't feel any pain. if you were a lobster, would you like to be killed that way? you better know why people are so mad. because of the way he killed it. we can feel that lobster's pain... GROW UP

  • @Blake55XeXeX another dumbass, read that shit again numb nuts, if your gonna be such a little bitch then DONT WATCH THE FUCKING VIDEO! Obviously their is no humane way to kill anything, but its a must, if not how will we survive jackass eat plants? guss what they dont carry all the nutrients we need. Oh and as son as that knife went through the head(brain) the lobster dies, but the nervous system keeps it moving and twitching you dumbshit.

  • I used your recipe almost a year ago and cooked it for my guest and they love it. They even said that it's better than Red Lobster. I'll be using this recipe again tonight and hope that it's as good as the first time I made this. Thanks for this helpful video.

  • ewww poor lobster i rather eat tuna tahn killing it dude

  • You guys! It is most likely that bugs dont feel pain. They dont have high quality/advanced sensors in their body. so its OK! plus its the circle of life. so get over it.

  • 17 minutes was not enough to cook it, at 350, the butter hardly melted ... i put it in for additional 20 minutes, only then it cooked, PS i had to open up the foil..

  • Damn I feel bad for living creatures that have to go through stuff like this. Buuut we all have to eat so it's necessary for life. Better than a lion chomping down on haunches from an animal that is still alive.

  • @elewie916 The lion doesn't have a brain. the god made him like this. he just see his victim and attack it and eat it. and we... the human... were blessed with a brain. to think. those guys deny the gift they have. by cutting the lobster slowly and make it feel the deep pain. and make it suffer to death. then they cut it to half. don't you think it's wrong? i couldn't see the video after they started to cut it slowly. i mean really. i always see creatures die. but not like that!?

  • @Blake55XeXeX What? Did you read my comment? Yeah I think it's cruel and it sucks for the animal. Read wtf I said. I then proceeded with it's better than he's not being EATEN WHILE ALIVE.

  • nooooo he is stabbing it before it's dead. I know they are like insects but you could atleast boil it before chopping the poor thing up. I'm sure it could feel that pain....

  • @thecanadianvandal This lobster is not an insect. insects are hardly visible. we touch them, they die. so insects NEVER feel the pain. but this little lobster do. you're sure he could feel the pain? he FELT the pain. and a REAL pain. they was cutting it slowly and he was moving his legs from pain. how can they be so filthy worthless heartless pieces of shits?

  • @Jose04811 If someone wants to do that to me go ahead. I probably don't taste as good as lobster tho.

  • can I just say to all the "cutting the lobster alive is bad" comments...that if you don't like it then think about how they brutally butcher and slay live animals or even skin them alive, cut them to bits, package them up and send them to the supermarket so that they can end up on your plate. Its exactly the same thing. dont like? then dont eat it.

  • @sourpinklemons0809 You gotta be shittin me right? they were cutting it slowly. they could simply stab his head or cut his head so he could die then start to cut or shit on it then we all be happy and keep watching the video with no complaining. this whore chef was cutting this poor little thing slowly. which means he was making it feel the pain. there's no reason to skin animals... the right killing is chopping the creature's head first. instead of cutting it slowly... they have feelings man :/

  • This woman is a very nice and intelligent host!

  • @Jose04811 The only way to safely eat lobster and other shell fish is to immediately cook it after it dies or boil/steam it alive. At death, all shell fish release a bacteria that spoils the meat in minutes unless it is cooked instantly. Cooking immediately after death is the only way to ensure safety - so, if you've eaten lobster, it was either killed and immediately cooked or boiled/steamed alive.

  • @RecipeCook - Boiling seems much more humane after watching you cut it in half.

  • thatt is s0 sadd h0w qwikk and painfull the death of the lobster was ! awww ! my mom is killing one as i type this , and blue crabs .. soo not fair smhh but tasteyy !!

  • and this is not cruelty with the animals? then people complained about bullfights and not said a word about things like this

  • LMAO 0:50 - 0:54 "Tell us what your gonna do when your gonna turn him into a wonderful gourmet meal" wow He just went into that bad boy raw WOOOOOW

  • @brandonholtuin hahaa

  • Someone from New England should never cook a lobster like this, ruins the lobster. what a fake.

  • @jcn35 Yeah I mean he just threw in random stuff lol I prefer the original way just drop the damn thing in boiling water lol

  • Is there a way to kill the lobster quickly and painlessly before doing anything to it?

  • @Sanguiluna That's what i won't talking about. they should chop his head or stab it before cutting it so slow. this worthless piece of shit chef. i hope this happens to him someday. and ill be so happy. and won't stop watching

  • thats just cruel

  • is he still moving? 3:25?

  • @XxMWllxX Yeh He is :( Even after the organs got washed out of him.

  • Yeh Yeh, slice , boil, point is, he should chop the garlic, green onion, ect, putting it in whole is like throwing it in the trash, come on! P.S, Save the lobsters!

  • The interesting thing is that lobster was ounce considered undesirable, so much so that prisoners on the east coast were not allowed to eat lobsters more than 4 days a week because eating more than that would be considered cruel and inhumane punishment.

Cockroaches of the sea they were called.

  • @mightisright i swear i heard that on the food network

  • That is a really interesting way to do that! I really like that! thanks so much, Rita for your kind advice!!!

  • omg the lobster was still alive when you was seasoning him/her...Damn, I know he/she was burning when you put those lemon wedges in him/her.

  • @R2A2C The lobster was burning from pain. I CAN FEEL IT. they had to cut his head for instant kill. but unfortunately, this retarded chef had a shoes inside his head instead of a brain. he started to cut this lobster (SLOWLY). which is ill never forget what he did

  • At least it died quickly instead of being boiled to death. I love lobster!

  • @rishirocky111 its like a chicken with its head chopped off. there are still muscle contractions after death

  • Great Video!!!

  • The best way to cook a lobster is to use your knife and strike it an inch and a half from the head, right in the middle. Then dump it in the water. This is good because: A.) Lobsters bodies decompose VERY quickly, so this ensures the meal is at its climax of flavour, and B.) A sharp strike kills the lobster instantly, so it's the most humane. DON'T just dump it in the water and hope it dies quickly, it won't... would you?

  • stop at 3:

  • how many years does it take a lobster to get that big before it gets killed like that?

  • Ahh man, thats just so crule. But I'd still eat it, as long as I'm not the one splitting it inhalf while its alive.

  • could have brought A DEAD ONE!!

  • @Dpkputtz does,nt taste as good as a fresh 1 dougnut

  • LOL, "that's not my thing..."

  • I wish I hadn't seen this... I've eating tons of lobster in coastal cities and they always give the poor creature a quick and easy death... is this really necessary??

  • @fernandofariajunior There's just no easy way to do it...I think this is just as humane as boiling water.

  • @RecipeCook boiling water is not humane either. in fact the most humane way is to quickly cut the head in half and even though it will move after, the lobster dies quickly

  • @doom10251997 actually the lobster have more than one ganglia so by cutting into where you think the brain is your not really killing it, as the other ganglia remain effective. Boiling sounds bad too, and is actually illegal in some areas, e.g parts of Italy. It is true it must be cooked immediately but it all sounds like a shitty death to me.

  • Some douchebags actually disassemble the lobster while it is still alive though. First they rip off the claws, then the tail, then the legs and finally discard the head.

  • @doom10251997 They got no brain. lowlifes. worthless shits. if i saw those people in front of me, i will take their legs and hands fingers first, then stab their nose, cut their ears and boil them, cut the shit out of their hands and foot, then i will wait for the next day. cut their arms and legs. finally, i might THINK about stabbing their brain in the next year. assholes.

  • @fernandofariajunior

dude you think this was bad you should have seen the prep some asian lady did on a lobster.

  • @fernandofariajunior this is the best way no pain.... boil a lobster, no... knive through the head,, they are done....

  • @fernandofariajunior So your bitch ass wants the lobster to die in a slow painful boiling death?

  • @fernandofariajunior thank God that I read your coment, I did not see that step.

  • @fernandofariajunior you want a slow and painful death instead?

  • Comment removed

  • @fernandofariajunior You've got to be kidding me, it's a fucking lobster.

Anyhow, this is a great way to kill the lobster. Even if it looks like it was moving the whole time it was basically killed instantly. Those were just involuntary movements

  • Poor Tasty Lobster.I feel for you but so does my tastebuds.

  • aww i feel sorry for it

  • The green stuff is not the intestines. The intestines are in the abdomen (or the "tail" as it is commonly called).

  • lobster thats gotta hurt

  • Don't care for this recipe. He says keep it simple then he throw in all kinds of garbage.

Salt & pepper, brush with EVOO,grill then dip in garlic butter. That's it simple!!

  • thats awesome! i tried this cooking method and it turned out great! thanks!

  • It looks delicious, but the lobster was still moving when they cut it open and took out its guts 0_o

  • Comment removed

  • som people put it in hot water

  • most brutal way to cook a lobster. still, looks delicious. :)

  • dang im hungry kno ha i loveeee sea food

  • I love lobster. I love cooking. I could never boil the poor things alive.

  • Well there's really no difference between boiling a lobster and boiling a cockroach, except one is tastier than the other.

  • look at the thing behind the lobster at 3:11

  • @kidsaser hahahaha

  • @kidsaser

    the knife?

  • omg!!! The lobster is moving....

  • omg its still moving

  • This is a monstrously cruel method of preparation.

  • the lobster is like why do i have to taste so good?

  • poor lobster,i still want to eat it

  • Man that lobster got his ass kicked.

  • damn straight, dude

  • I use old bay seasoning all the time, I live in cali these days, and nobody here knows about it, people are like "what's IN this shrimp!?"

  • "I'm a butter girl.." :)

  • @fbebeats hahahaha

  • never knew they could bite after being cut in half

  • tommalley is actually the organ that servers the same purpose as the liver and pancreas

  • put the lobster in the freezer. they go into a coma-like state and cook em from there

  • If the lobster didn't want to die then it shouldn't be so delicious.

  • haha.

  • @tylertyler82

You really think that the lobster was like, "hey I feel like being a lobster so I can be delicious?"

    Idiot. Use your head.

  • @cheerleader2009 He was being smart you dumbass.

  • @tylertyler82 haaha that's soo mean but true haha

  • omg im so hungry but i love lobsters so much....... aaaaaarrrgh!!! i can take it i wanna be there eating chedder bay biscuits enjoying all the fluff eating some lobster pizza... eating 5 lobster tails every 6 minutes enjoying some tender natural clam chowder and some wonder melted butter and shrimp omg .. i cant take it its just to iresistble ty for showing me how to cook some of these i was drooling for this stuff .... aaaaaarghh im sick of pancakes now im sick of cereal i want lobsters!!!!!!!!

  • i understand ur lobster craving. But sick of pancakes? I've been experimenting with Martha Stewart Recipes and They've been turning out really well. I was upset the other day though b/c my dad took the batter and baked it into a cake.

  • that so good

  • i looooove lobster \, i do feel bad for them when they die but stillllllll yummmmmmm lol

  • sorth it is alive, its just best if it feels no pain, i think cutting it down the head is alot nicer than it boiling to death in high heat. i mean i know it is food but just because its food dosnt mean you cant make it easyer on the lobster. i get your point, but i dont see draging out the lobsters death any longer than neccesary, now if you haft to boil it because thats the way the executive chef wants it done then by all means listen to the executive chef.

  • your right i think the samething

  • i dont think they feel actual pain or else that would be considered animal crulty. id feel the same way though is they did.

  • Wow - That looked great - now I'm hungry!

  • great to see videos from you again

  • Can't you put lobsters in the fridge first to slow their metabolism and make them go to sleep before you prepare them?

  • some people also do the opposite by bringing the heat up very slowly in a pot

most chefs if there concerned just cut it right down on there head, I've never seen one cut it in half from the bottom

it seems like a lot of trouble to go through to not feel guilty, i figure if people felt that bad then they wouldn't eat lobster in the first place
