For those in the know, this is not a stabilised 3 degree glideslope the plane is flying. Have a look at any other approach and you'll see what I mean.
I really do hope that his/her intention was not to "buzz" the beach. A shallower approach means more risk of either dragging your wheels into the approach and/or landing long - not the best idea when landing on a runway with little or no stopway.
10/10 Landing . Nothing here to watch ladies n' gent's but a Pilot landing a A/C in a very awsome perfect way . His skills show you that you my friend r scared of a FLY. You Stupied Son Of A Bitch
that was like 30 feet lower than normal, if you pause at the right time, his landing gear passed the fence at like 2-3 feet...little lower, and there's tragedy.
thats princess juliana intl! the planes always go like that. but that was a lower landing than normal. and anyway, that isnt ur video! im marking it 1 star
flxsrsathr....."A LITTLE BIT LOW"?????? It took the driver of that red SUV with the white roof a month to T-Cut the rubber off of his roof. Plus the airport maintenance guys were straight out after this landing replacing the barbed wire from the top of the perimeter fence. They definitely got lucky :-)
Mitrumpitplaya, this is not a normal 3 degrees glideslope....for your information there is no ILS approach in St. Maarten but just a VOR.....a 3 degrees down the slope will take you to a point of touchdown some 1000 ft down the runway.....this guy touches down pretty much on the threshold.
It might be done on purpose because you don't have a very long runway there. But still too low approach. They got lucky.
That's not exactly a normal approach even by St. Maarten standards. That 747 was a little bit too low. Before any St. Maarten "specialist" tells me what the hell I know....well I know. I am an airline pilot and I have been a lot in and out of St. Maarten.
Yeah, that looks like a normal 3 degree glideslope to me....same thing happens at Chicago Midway - Cicero Avenue runs perpendicular to 2 runways. It's unsettling the first time a 737 flies over you at 40 feet, but after a while it's pretty cool.
well he did almost decapitate a person on the beach
