If you dun have faith in your own show, how can you expect the judges to believe in it? You cried when we lost, all of us did. But u did not even believe in your own show. In 2012, you better have faith in your show if u want to win.

im also a current band member, almost leaving. We went there not only to win, but to enjoy ourselves and touch the audience with our songs. we nvr managed to win, but at least we managed to touch the audience heart. I know, because some of the audience told me they had cried during our singing...stop comparing it will do you no good.

C'mon guys. Stop all these childishness and comparing the different bands regardless of what they got. Every band has their own strengths and weaknesses. So what if another band 'copies' the other? In the end, people will only see who does it better. SYF is really a day where we all can learn from one another and this day will also really show our sportsmanship. Where is it people?

TK band did awesomely well. Probably the judges just didn't like the new "softer approach". Realise TK Band used to play very catchy, fast-paced pieces, but catchy doesn't mean good music; clearly, it's not bang bang bang and loud all the time, there's the loud and the soft which bring life and emotions to a piece. And Tegami was NICE!

yeah i also prefer those days when outdoors were held at the national stadium. when most bands are doing the traditional british style. i also prefer the central judging and competition to be separated. i also miss those times when TK supporters literally surround the whole stadium. the super powerful cheering - ANONEH PAKUKEH!

@damitutube well, if you find that the judges are not professionals, perhaps you can clarify your doubts with Lawrence Siao, Music Specialist, CCAB (and also TK Band alumni) and his team. Having watched the videos umpteen times, i feel that both bands are EQUALLY good. Neither is better than the other.

@damitutube What do you mean by AT LEAST? I trust that the judges are professional and made the right judgements AT LEAST?. Both TK and Ping Yi are awarded the Gold Medal. Meaning they both scored similar scores and are of the same standard. If you say Ping Yi and Tk aren't on the same tier, justify your claims against the professional judges.

There's a Grade 6 piece they are playing for a marching competition and i can actually hear distinct crescendos. Bowen deserved gold with honours for that beyond incredible DCI drills. Good footworks and really awesome DCI effects. Deyi deserved gold with honours for their entertaining display and interpretation.

it was a great performance and actually i do see consistency all the way - nostalgia for the 1990s when band performances stick to great music and great marching rather than 'great use of props'.

And i salute you for following through the essence of a military band.

i still prefer the old times where competitions were held at national stadium and not at indoor stadium. those times were those really the real outdoor competition. :) but what to do, everthing changed. all the best in 2012! TK, TK OK! :D
