the song can be interpreted in many ways. it is a very haunting song, could be meant after a breakup or a lost loved one or something else like war too. one of the best songs ever written. it's very depressing and makes you think deeply about yourself and what life means to you

@diana351 I think it was written about the family members that died of a couple of the group members. I read it somewhere. Can't remember where.
