  • @OfficialDBO its energy blockages dissolving. Happens to me when I practice 2 hours of Kundalini Pranayama. Do less and you will feel peaceful to the level of your capacity. Slowly increase over time as your astral body becomes stronger.

I'm glad I found Baba Ramdev because i've watched some others demonstrate pranayam after I had been doing this by Ramdev and boy was I glad I didn't start with them. Some people are just not the teachers they think they are. Baba Ramdev is spectacular and I encourage those to give this a serious go.

  • I see some people showing negitive effects. This is because you are trying too hard. When you are doing other excercises, you are supposed to stretch your body and mind to their limits. But, with yoga, it is the opposite.

    Remember RELAX, DON'T TRY TOO HARD, HAVE A PLEASANT MOOD AND FACE. Closing your eyes and keeping a smile going on your face helps.

  • @MsUa125 You could try placing a cushion under your butt to raise it higher than your knees. It is better for your back. Also try sitting just cross legged ( loosely) at first, till your body gets used to the position, then do the half lotus that the man is doing.

  • just sit how ever you can crossed legged and with spine straight, shooulders relaxed and so are the face muscles. if u need, u may also lean on a wall at the beginning. the porpose of asanas (yogic postures) are to help the bosy sit straight comfortably for meditation

  • Thanks Unexpected. I'm doing 15min everyday of Kapal and then 5min or so of Agnisar Kriya that just exhausts me... and then usually about 6min of Anuloma-viloma. And I have noticed a new person in me. Though sometimes when I am doing Anuloma-Viloma I get to a point where it scares me because I feel myself going into a much higher state of consciousness and it can be intense.

  • @handelsme The same thing happens with other things that increases your mental energy, like going on a liquid diet. Just embrace it! Mental energy and purity is what matters! Everything else is just human inventions!

    I've been doing Kapal Pranayam everyday for 15min now and I have notice a major improvement. My question is can I do this Pranayam more than once a day for 15min? Like morning and night for example? It wouldn't hurt would it?

    You can do this four times X 15 min. Then four times X 20 mins etc .. The best way is to do it is GRADUALLY increase the time. But Combine this pranayama with bhastrika and anulom vilom. You can feel your capacity. But do it every day.

    Do it and create an image of what you want to be. Imagine that you haven't any problems with your speech. This image will penetrate to your subconscious then you will become ok. Do not doubt in it ! Never doubting about pranayam. IT WORKS !

    ....After a taebo workout I do this exercise and my recovery time is quicker and I come out more fresh (than when I didn't do it) Amazing ---and also during Taebo workout I incorporate some of the exhaling technique (and breath in on the recoil) and --Wow I last longer and is able to keep up with the exercise.     : Yes. You can do pranayama in every comfortable position. The important thing is that you must do it with straight spine ! I use a chair because my feet are not so flexible.

  • you should never do kapalbhati or other breathing meditations longer then a few minutes!!!!!!!!!!

    Also if you do kapalbhati to quickly it can harm your heart as i heard.

    Please listen what baba ramdev says for the duration of the breathing exercises. Also if you already have asthma or weak lungs you should start very slowly and never breath to much deeply and never force your breath!!!!

  • Buddy, You don't know the history then. Baba Ramdev suffered from the paralysis attack in childhood and his left side was completely paralysed. He was not even able to walk properly and could not open his left eye. It is the Yoga that cured his paralysis and his left eye is still a proof of leftover. This is a reason why took over the world to spread the knowledge of Yoda and cure various diseases that are considered uncurable.

  • Nope don't try it...Pranayama works on the same principles as nature itself....only do as much as your conscience and body permits you to do...It looks very simple...but Pranayama is a very high level Manipulation of your BIO-ELECTRICITY (or chi or ki)...If done correctly and with patience it can bring wonderful results...but if done improperly or in an un-natural way...it will mess up your internal stuff....Be slow but be steady...That is the way to assured progress..

  • Your inner voice plays a very important role in it...when practicing Pranayama Listen to your inner voice and feel your body....when you think you should stop THEN STOP!!!....Dont overdo things....Same is the case for TAI-CHI or Reiki....to harness nature's power you have to work with nature and try not to force things....The natural process is the best and everlasting process...Listen to your inner voice and study the techniques thoroughly before practising...

  • I understand since i was a chronic hayfever sufferer too ..i did Kapalbhati and Anulom Vilom .....Kapalbhati for 15 mins ..and A.Vilom for 10 mins daily.before the hayfever season started ..and it worked like charm for me..I havnt been suffering since i can now walk out in the heat the sun openly ..The trick is to do it before u get the allergy ..I also do Jal Neti a nasal irrigation process..but u shudnt do that just as yet if ur not familiar with it ..the main 2 pranayama should hopefully work

  • it should be done in peae and quiet esp for a beginner where ur full concentration is applied..If u wnna put music on it shud be like the music u hear in this clip in the backgorund which blends with pranayama

  • Kapalbhati Neti would be ideal for that (Google).

    Mix lukewarm water with salt in a bowl (about 1/2 liter). The water should taste moderately salty (just try and experiment) and be just warm enough not to hurt when it passes the nose.

    If you wear glasses (like I do) take them off. Take a big sip, filling about 3/4 of your mouth and tilt your head and body a bit forward not to spill on your clothes. Then expell the water through the nose.

    It can be a bit difficult, but it definately works!

  • Sitting on the floor is strongly recommended that is what he stresses UNLESS u have a physical problem where u cant sit on the floor in an upright position THEN you can use the chair but the chair SHOULD be straight where ur back can be in in a erect position

  • Its the nose have to exhale thru the nose when u do that ur stomach automatically goes in u dont do it urself u just focus on the nose exhale then let go then exhale again yes u do inhale for a second or so naturally but the main purpose is to exhale

  • you need to control for desired flux.

  • inhale then exert the exhale, repeat. When you exhale make sure you exhale fully which will allow an easier and quicker inhale. Remember, you don't have to go at Baba's speed to start off.
