Oh wow marty said only two percent of his playing was making it to the album! He created the solo for tornado of souls...#1 - #4 BEST METAL SOLO EVER!! one of the best guitarist alive marty friedman!
Dave has become a born again christian and Christian religion labels these music as Satan's work... Wat the fuck is going on? Why do they say music is devil's work? I just wanna punch their faces in... Goddamn! Really hurts when they say that....honestly, its something I care so much about and they say its wrong and is a fuckin devil's work...
Fuckin religion, something I don't understand.... Holy Wars...
@saznrai because some part of metal music world are satanic metal bands and they're really like i love devil i love demons and such and because of that many people label whole metal world as satanic like drinkin virgin blood and mosh piting on their remains and such.
@saznrai Religion can go back to the pit it crawled out from, just one imperfect foundation saying whats wrong and whats right, feeding itself off of a perfect faith and belief. follow christ, allah, krishna whatever not the churches.
You can say what you want about using drugs, but the fact is even though a lot of people praise drugs, all of my personal heroes were people who either used and learned to stop, or people who never used at all. Check out George Carlin's interview talking about drugs.
I personnally never did drugs. My friends already tell me I'm crazy. I don't want to go completely nuts.
@InfinityDz Good call. My time doing drugs led me to going to the ER once for overdose, almost getting arrested numerous times, and almost getting shot twice.
you haven't been paying attention at all have you? Dave got killed by his drug abuse, but he recovered.
He decided he nor his band members could use drugs or else it would kill them all and the band, and yes he has been using drugs after that moment, but went straight into rehab again. You honestly think he was happy about his drug problem by calling hypocritical? The band members of Megadeth arelike a family, and will do anything for eachother. u dont know shit about Megadeth !..!,
I'm talinking about the current members. Dave pointed out that they are like a really close family NOW.
When your'e watching a documentaire about Megadeth, at least pretend you payed attention instead of throwing useless stuff around, that actualy is made clear in the video itself.
@shadowguy112466 I was commenting on the relationship between Dave and Nick Menza, referring to when he wanted to give him a blood test regarding his blood-alcohol level. I'm not pretending anything...I'm not sure it you are referring back to what i was talking about in the first place (Dave and Nick). I really don't want to get into some sort of comment war, just speaking my opinion about a top shelf metal band.
i think we got a misunderstading here then. thought you were talking about the whole band, and not a single person. hereby i apoligies if i made any false statements in your direction.
@shadowguy112466 no prob. I do think my original comment, being not as specific as it should have been, was probably pretty insensitive considering this video starts with the death of gar.
I question the way Marty left... I mean he said he didn't wanna play "Metal" anymore but when he went to japan he continued to play it and also had his jrock show
@Shinmeiryu I mean like if you ask anyone who Megadeths best guitarist was (besides Mustaine) they say Marty. he's a great guitarist but everyone forgets about Jeff and Chris
sin is invented by religion, there's not such thing as a "sin", it was invented to keep people under control
death is a natural part of life, you'll die if you do or don't do drugs
i don't support drugs, neither go against them, they exist for a good reason, but mankind usually transforms everything into negativity like fire, iron, atomic energy, etc
Endgame is the first approach to thrash since Rust in Peace. Not The World Needs a Hero. Dave has needed 20 years to finally understand where he belong to. Albums like Risk or Cryptic Writhings will be forgotten, first four on the other hand will be remembered till the mankind extinction.
he sold his soul to the devil hes pure evil you will go to hell if you listen to this satanic garbage!!....god loves you!...be saved!!...the end is near........JUST KIDDING....FUCK THAT SHIT...MOTHERFUCKING MEGADETH TIL DEATH!!...
Risk was Megadeth's answer to "Load" I'm not saying either album is bad, i like the music and the melodies, but it just wasn't very Megadeth-ish (Sound familiar Metallica haters?) Look, my point is that both albums have quality music, but "Metalheads" hate because it isn't 5 million miles an hour, this goes with both bands. Oh well, at least Marty Friedman didn't kiss Jimmy DeGrasso in the "Risk" era lol (i love both bands, i just hate the metallica make-up image of the Load and ReLoad days)
I really respect Marty, he seems to be one of the only (the first) member to leave Megadeth that wasn't because of a drug filled personal dispute with Mustaine.
@aaaaaaaaaa39888 Dave Has sold 30 million ALbums and says he felt or feels second best. Envy. Its a bitch. Wonder if he realizes that if he wasn't a drug addict in from 1992-1994 he would have played Bourbaki, he wouldn't have gotten thrown off the tour with Aerosmith, he would have played more gigs with Metallica on huge bills and he may be sitting right now with his albums selling 2 or 3 million after Extinction instead of drying up after Youthinasia and had 80 million in sales DaveFuckedDave
Marty Friedman and Chris Poland should do a solo record together. Think about it. Middle east licks with jazz licks. Shit I think the Beatles would be like wow.
The World Needs a Hero is probably THE most under rated metal album. It took me forever to find it and its a shame more ppl dont know of it.
]V[ E G A D E T ]-[ is truely legendary Im only 16 and i like the screamo shit but all people gotta get back to their roots and take a good look at the master mind that started it all Dave Mustaine
Stop comparing Megadeth and Metallica. Their both metal, but still not the same kind of metal. It's like comparing a truck with a convertible! Both cars, different styles. Metallica is my favorite band, but the Kill 'em All-album and the song "Ride the Lightning" from the album with the same name, are my absolute favorites! That's the Hetfield, Ulrich, Burton and Mustaine era! These guys made ART together! I understand why they had to fire Dave, but yes, they could have warned him first.
Ive got to say that I watched the metallica documentary too and now that Ive watched this one I have mad respect for Dave Metallica & Megadeth forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Chester1004 Almost in every metal band the very first lineup is always the best. So you're not the only one who thinks that because I think so too :D
i don't understand why marty would play with megadeth (a thrash band) when he's not a fan of heavy metal or thrash. and why did he play in cacaphony when they were a metal band.
Im pretty sure back in the Cacophony and Rust In Peace days Marty loved metal.
But ever since that album Megadeth became more and more soft so yeah. Important thing is that current lineup is also damn good and that Dave has returned to writing thrash while he also has Broderick who is pushing guitar to new level.
@countolaf32 what?! come on bro! its all about the rust in peace line up man! im a drummer and i fucking love nick menza bro. and also marty friedman just radiates baddass-ness. come on, i agree brodrerick is really technical and has GREAT tone and shit but i prefer marty. he jus had way better feel wen playing them solos.
@TheCastroson Well, I agree that Nick is an awesome drummer, but I think Gar was better. Also, I like Broderick more than Friedman. More metalish sound. I don't know, it's all personal preference.
@countolaf32 yeah i definetly agree its more of a personaly preference cause honestly gar and nick are hard to compare cause theyre both so gad damnb good but what nick did for a decade was amazing. rust in piece and stuff. but yeah bro. personal preferencesss.
on marty's website when he recorded a solo for the song breadline on risk but when he heard the final track, it was dave's solo and someone told him that the solo was too depressing and melodic
WOW the story of Marty Friedman and Megadeth is basicly the same story of Jason Newsted and Metallica both left their bands for different music tastes.
@kemele what the fuck does ibanez have to do with this?have you ever hear friedmans solo music?it just doesnt fit in megadeth, and if you're going to blame that on a guitar brand, then you're fucking stupid and should go kill yourself right now.
Oh wow marty said only two percent of his playing was making it to the album! He created the solo for tornado of souls...#1 - #4 BEST METAL SOLO EVER!! one of the best guitarist alive marty friedman!

One of the best things I've ever seen on youtube, great finishing this at 5 am. So sad about Gar, he was a great fusion drummer.

WOW the story of Marty Friedman and Megadeth is basicly the same story of Jason Newsted and Metallica both left their bands for different music tastes.

@musicdude2009 no Jason left for personal reasons aswell as his musical reasons

2:06 yeah marty, and that you are also gay and that Ibanez is sticking it up your ass so hard that you're becoming even gayer
kemele 1 year ago
@kemele what the fuck does ibanez have to do with this?have you ever hear friedmans solo music?it just doesnt fit in megadeth, and if you're going to blame that on a guitar brand, then you're fucking stupid and should go kill yourself right now.
