Thank you for showing this...I learn from vids and try stuff out so I am so happy to have you go through how its done...thank you for sharing and teaching!
You made me so HAPPY when you said you could use the regular beeswax at Michaels becuz the kind I checked on at DickBlick's was EXPENSIVE. This was very inspiring to watch...you're a great teacher!
That was very fun and informative. I love the eyes of your fairy too. One suggestion - have someone else film because if gets blurry when you are too close and a bit jumpy which makes me a little dizzy! Thanks:D
I found 2 kinds of bees wax at Michael. One is "natural" and the other is "white". Is one better than the other? Do u have any suggestion? Which one do u use? By the way, I love all your works
I wonder though at the end-the still shot of her wing I noticed you used a leaf :) is that something you made, got from the craft store or off a tree?
They are called skeleton leaves. They come from the rubber plant tree in Thailand and are pretty delicate. You can find them at some craft stores, or do a google search for more places. They come in lots of different colors. I actually had a clip in about the leaves, but had to edit it out to be within YouTube's length restrictions. Thanks for looking. Love, Wyanne
do you find that there are any mediums that smear when you go over them with the wax? i was expecting the colors to bleed or run when they came in contact with it but it seems like only the paper itself reacts to the wax, and not the paint or crayon...
I have found some colors to bleed with watercolor crayon...but not all the colors do. This is even if the watercolor crayon has been wet and blended into the paper. It is usually the orange color that does this. Regular crayon and oil pastel will melt under the iron...and you have to be careful of smearing them also. If you are worried about the bleeding, a light spray fix will help and doesn't effect the wax. Hope that helps. Love, Wyanne
Thank you for this video! I have become addicted to the beeswax process on some of my artwork and I have been using a small craft iron to smooth it out after I apply the wax. I didn't realize that I could use a regular old iron iron to do this!
Might was well since I don't iron clothing anymore....LOL I am sure this will help me solve some of my beeswax areas. So THANK YOU for making this video.

I like the natural. The white is bleached and seems to be softer and not as strong. Good luck!
