She is singing with what vocal pro's call "head voice" it is singing from the head and not from deep down in the chest, which why she sounds kinda like a cartoon character. Although I really love their sound and her voice is very cute, no vocal coach in the world would call that correct vocalization. Very cutesy-cartoon-ish vocal sound. I do love their groove! It's very much like Bjork, Cyndi Lauper. Mette is adorable and should NOT fix her teeth! Perfection is sooo darn boring.

Outstanding combo! Imaginative and creative work! It's original and fresh, but brings back the things I really like about Edie Brickell. "Neo-Nordic Bohemian", maybe? Mette is AWESOME (and knows it) but I want to see some of the other band members get to show some chops, too -- can anyone suggest a site where someone gets to solo or go improv at a live event, maybe? Yes, I was led here by the Heineken commercial too-8 bars in, i knew something nice was going on. A fresh and unique sound; Mette's dylanesque articulation and playful attack is perfect. The writing is strong with simple (and memorable) melodies. After listening on and off for a few weeks I have just now purchased "Fruit" and can't wait to turn on my kids! My only regret is not hearing of them sooner. Best of luck, big things are to come. The secret? Don't let all the BS get into your head!
