An infrared illuminator only visible through night vision. We hunted about three weeks ago with Rusty Baker (Outdoors) to film for his show. We didn't communicate to bring his daytime camera for interviews/dialogue/kudos so we shot exclusively through my night vision camera. Dark night-no moon/overcast. After downing a hog Rusty had to ask how far the hog was in front of him (2 feet) and which direction the head was facing. All captured perfectly through the illuminated night vision-cool.
You found out what many others have found out the hard way. The ND3 lights are no substitute for night vision. We have tested the units ourselves for the manufacturer (indirectly) and found that they spook animals instantly when the light is shined on them-just the same as a white light. When the temperature drops below about 55 degrees the units stop working-they recommend wrapping them in hand warmers. Not for me and buyer beware! They are bright flashlights, though.
I was the hunter here. I`m telling all if you want the experience of a lifetime here it is. Expert profesional service you can`t believe ! I did 3 hunts with them last Jan.
friend please Vision In that night with the best $ 300 I might have to do with the 50 meters in total darkness thanks from ja

I bought that ND3 light but it sucks. On 30m you can maybe see something but on higher distances is really bad.
