But i would NEVER, EVER dislike a game only for its graphic appereance or say that something "sucks". Fallout 3 doesn't even qualify as a Fallout game, more like an TeS 4.5, in my opinion. Fo3 had no challenge, the dialog isn't in true Fallout fashion, a small amount of depth to each character you met. Don't get me wrong, I love Fallout 3, it's an excellent game, but not an excellent Fallout game.

@EZGxShAdOwzZ It's the Bozar, one of the strongest weapons in Fallout 2, it's classed as big gun. My final weapon set was Bozar and Vindicator/Gauss Rifle. In very close combat it can easily kill people in Advanced Combat Armor with one burst.
How do you run so fast when traveling in the map? I looked through options and found nothing to change that. PLEASE help, cause it gets really annoying when trying to get from arryo to NCR or San Fransisco
I know, and that's the only speed thing I changed, which somehow resulted in overworld travel speeds also being increased. Try ticking with some of the options regardless--I don't remember how I got it but it was fast by default, and once I start the game I set the speed higher before anything else.
How did you get to San Francisco so quickly? I tried to reach it from Klamath but had a million encounters and died many times before getting halway there.
@bean420man I guess he was lucky. I, on the other hand, encountered remnants of the master's army, an army of centaurs and floaters, fire geckos and A LOT of Enclave.
@killerfire23 Well i did find out that if you mess with 2 or 3 settings in the in.dll, it will help. With much cursing and frustration and delay I finally got to San Fran and other fun places like NCR and even Navarro. Now I have my own cybernetic dog that sometimes will block you in narrow passages. LOL! What a dog!
@bean420man All you need to do is save, stop at some square in the wasteland and save. Oh and to me, dogs are useless companions. They bite people but barely kill them and block your way.
@killerfire23 that is exactly what I ended up doing, or getting to tjust before the exit grid of a random encouncounter that I knew i would survive and then saving. K-9 blocked me in a narrow space by the dpressed computer in the BoS headquarters in San Fran. I contemplated killing him, damn dog.

Currently playing through this game for my first time now. Trying to travel down the map but unfortunately I have a crippled leg and can't find a doctor so it's hell going down. Almost every encounter other than caravans vs bandits is death for me.

How do you run so fast when traveling in the map? I looked through options and found nothing to change that. PLEASE help, cause it gets really annoying when trying to get from arryo to NCR or San Fransisco

In the game options you can change the combat speed, and it can also affect character speed. Go for it.

I know, and that's the only speed thing I changed, which somehow resulted in overworld travel speeds also being increased. Try ticking with some of the options regardless--I don't remember how I got it but it was fast by default, and once I start the game I set the speed higher before anything else.

How did you get to San Francisco so quickly? I tried to reach it from Klamath but had a million encounters and died many times before getting halway there.

@bean420man I guess he was lucky. I, on the other hand, encountered remnants of the master's army, an army of centaurs and floaters, fire geckos and A LOT of Enclave.

@killerfire23 Well i did find out that if you mess with 2 or 3 settings in the in.dll, it will help. With much cursing and frustration and delay I finally got to San Fran and other fun places like NCR and even Navarro. Now I have my own cybernetic dog that sometimes will block you in narrow passages. LOL! What a dog!

@bean420man All you need to do is save, stop at some square in the wasteland and save. Oh and to me, dogs are useless companions. They bite people but barely kill them and block your way.

@killerfire23 that is exactly what I ended up doing, or getting to tjust before the exit grid of a random encouncounter that I knew i would survive and then saving. K-9 blocked me in a narrow space by the dpressed computer in the BoS headquarters in San Fran. I contemplated killing him, damn dog.

Can we play the holodisks in fallout 2? If yes how it's frustrating having all the holodisks and not knowing what to do with them. Can you also fix that broken button on the Pipboy? If yes how?

Currently playing through this game for my first time now. Trying to travel down the map but unfortunately I have a crippled leg and can't find a doctor so it's hell going down. Almost every encounter other than caravans vs bandits is death for me.
