Thats impressive! What sort goodies does the motor have? Aluminum heads? Intake? Compression Ratio? Just curious to know? Also what was the weight of the car?
@dgrcgrl Sad about the crash. Reminded me of a friend that had two 7's some time ago. One for the street with a Chevy 350 and a Muncie 4spd, the other with a stock Olds 455ci, turbo 350 automatic, and a cut down ten bolt GM rear end. The Monster turned mid twelve seconds in the quarter in stock tune through the mufflers. Fast enough for a good bracket car built in the back yard.
powerglide, roll bar, and an eight inch ford rear. The engine was the heart of that car. Look on 9 sec triumph v6 thats the same motor and trans in a better and lighter car.
The track was very slippery. The car was not built right and it had 64% of the weight on the front and 46% of the weight on the rear of the car. Which does not make for a good a handling drag car unless you are in a front wheel drive car. Part driver because I never should have got back on the throttle the second time.
Not a pleasant site, seeing someone's pride and joy getting wrapped up like that. Though Im sure you'll get a few haters on here with the old "you can't drive" or "thats funny" bollox that they normally come out with.
So, was it driver error, mechanical fault or track conditions, dgrcgrl?
great that the motor lives on

yes its buick v6 powered. Don't know on the hp but ran 10.63 in the quarter. That motor is in my new car. look at 9 sec triumph gt6

10.6 is pretty fast for a V-6. What were you using for a rear end? Transmission? any roll cage mods?
My Chevy 90 degree V-6 powered TR-7 has never got better than high 13's in street trim. fun to drive, and never has had balance problems to speak of.
