I have many more you can see. Thanks for posting and I accepted your invite. Perhaps one day you will ride the BA 772 from ST Kitts and get a passenger view video like mine. If you need any tips, send me a private message and I would be glad to help out!

  • i just love that sound when they throttle up!

  • god, i just love that whinig sound when they throttle up!

Okay - this is that last reply you get. Look at it again, the large side/mouth of the windsock goes from left (wide) to narrow (right). Now, I dont know if you know, but planes do not take off into a direct head wind all the time; so the windsock was moving. But at 1.36,37 and 38 we are definatley going into a (cross) head wind.

  • @usmanchoudry

I dont understand your comment. But have a look at my other video's, you will like them a lot. Thans for watching and enjoy!

  • Shame about the memory running out just as it started powering down :( Excellent video!

  • @jbcd1211

I have many more you can see. Check them out. Godspeed.

  • Great video. Pity you had to end-up in Los Angeles.

  • @petrhsr

Not really, but if you think so, then so be it.

  • Ahhh the Rolls Royce music to my ears.

  • Was this a direct route?

  • @chelseaboy101

Actually it is considered NON-STOP. On a direct flight, you may have a stop-over to pick up and drop off passengers (called PAX) , but you stay on the same plane and continue to your final destination.

  • why you didnt make it with a camera that makes it SEPHERICAL?

  • @cristephirgas

Why didn't I buy 8 First Class tickets and take a whole film crew? Get real buddy!

I am just an average Joe, which you NO DOUBT are too!

  • I love how in the description you said "Not the best on Youtube (that would be my first)"

  • @CathayGuy

It's technically not. My best is the 737 take off from Gatwick to Trieste....

  • Hi cunningfox,

Great footage, loved every minute of it! Great sound quality! Although I must you must be very cunning to get into first class ;-).

Maybe yes, maybe no. Check out my other "First Class" videos as well. The LAX to LHR is the best 777 takeoff video on YouTube - I promise. Let me know what you think!

"If it aint a Boeing, I aint going..."

    Godspeed.

  • @Triple777ER Ain't this a great video?

  • @VIR092

It is very cool. I shall post more from my trip to India (on an AA 772-ER) in a few weeks. Stay tuned (my very best YT friend).

  • Humid day, lots of flow visualization .. vortex off the chine and really loud shocks of the fan-tips... cant get any better :) *favorite*

  • @Katanada42

It does get better - MUCH better! Check out my other video - 777 - LAX to LHR - that will be your favorite!

Let me know what you think and thanks for posting.

  • I love it, thank you so much for uploading!!!

  • @sauvinblanc2007

Like your user name. Glad you enjoyed.

  • @sauvinblanc2007

    Merci beaucoup mon ami.

    Bob voyage et Godspeed.

  • YEAH BABY!

THRUST SET! (I love those two specific words)

  • Boeing makes the best planes. Love the 747.

  • Agree, agree, agree. Cant wait to see the new 747-8 and fly on it!

  • My God, that always gets my heart racing! Those Trents have that 'echo' whenever they get up around 45% to 50% percent of N1, sounds just awesome. Best one, the Triple Seven.

  • you gotta love it..

  • I believe that the 777 is the best made plane in the world at the moment. The 747-8 will become #1 best made, the 777 2nd and then the A330 and 787 tied for 3rd. It will be close between the 747-8 and the 777.These two aircraft can land anyway, anytime under any conditions. They can also take off in the worst conditions. The 747 has 40 years under her belt that are pretty damn hard to beat! (Flying thru volcanoes; BA and Minotubo, fuselage pieces coming off, crosswinds landings at Kai Tak...)

  • Awesome man !!

  • The sprial lines are there to let people on the ground know that they are rotating (or on) and to be aware and not get too close. As fo rteh engines they are made by Rolls Royce (mostly found on 777's owned by British Airways and American Airlines). Others are (that dont sound as cool) - Pratt and Whitney and GE (who makes the most powerful one - the GE90-115b).

  • Man, this video rocks! Sound, long take of run, great light and good view over the UK. It´s all there ... 5/5 of course

  • 最高に良い映像有難う!

  • 問題ありません。それは私の喜びだった。私はあなたに楽しんでうれしく思います。

  • wow what an engine i love the sound of that turbo i literally felt like i was the one looking out of that window ..

  • You mean turbine. Its definately not a TURBO-Prop. MY LAX TO LHR is the best one though.

  • ...By the way, where did you hear that American Airlines was ordering the B777-300? I checked the fleet stats and it reported that they had seven more orders for the B777-223ER to join up with the other 47 they already have. I do know that British Airways has got some B777-300ER's on order, though...

  • I corrected that below - it was a mistake. 777-223ER only. I was over enthusiastic. I wish they would get the 300 or 200-LR

  • Not even a 1.25 EPR spool-up...density altitude must not of been that bad, and humidity levels seemed lower too.

  • All true. (Humidty was at about 60% I think.) I was in the cockpit prior to T/O and I remember discussing that we were at maximum payload, if you were wondering.

  • Hmmm...I guess your takeoff weight (TOW) that day must have been roughly 615,000 pounds or around that.

  • I dont know exactly and I didnt ask. There may have been a weight restriction too, most likely close to max TOW or as I say payload because no-one on youtube knows what TOW stands for. (I like everyone to be able to read whats up/happening by keeping it simple - and not something that says:

Climb via heading 250. Croo the Santa Monica 160 radial at or below 3000 feet. Then turn LEFT to heading 235 for vectors to LAX vortac. Expect vectors direct LAX vortac, cross over LAX at 10,000ft.. Peace!

  • I like your reply! That's pretty good! It's too bad in my opinion, that people here aren't akin to aeronautical talk. You know, like: "After departure, straight ahead London Vortac 2 DME and right turn to heading 220, climb maintain 6,000 feet and report on departure, 118.775."

I guess it was a good thing I wasn't saying acronyms like: OEW, MTOW, MLW, SRS Pitch, and RVR category!

    Peace to all you 777-buffs!

  • Tell me about it..I think a couple of years ago, I heard rumors that Continental was pondering about the B773ER. Wouldn't that be miracle though if it did? By the way, what is your opinion of the new Boeing 787? Do you think it'll uphold it's reputation?

But keep high hopes for some B777-300ER's. You never know, miracles happen!

  • I woudlnt call it a miracle...One thing about AA, they NEVER buy more than what they need. The 200 can already go (speaking for CO + AA) from Texas in the center of the USA to Beijing and India. I dont think AA will buy the 300- just to do a JFK to SYD/AKL non-stop. The 787 will do that at a much lower cost. AA doesnt even paint their planes - you know how much they save on fuel just on that aone? The -300, never. It is unnecessary. But it would be cool.

  • Well, it least I can appreciate Delta Airlines for purchasing the B772LR...the Worldliner, as it's called, so far it still has the highest capable range of any other airliner, besides the A340-500. The -200LR has nineteen worthy hours of air time with a standard payload. I believe those are suitable fuel economics.

  • When Pan Am ordered/designed the 747 in the late 60's Boeing was almost bankrupt. They guaranteed the future of Boeing in the 747. The world as Pan Am said "went, higher, father and faster than ever before in complete safety and luxury". It will be the same on all counts for the 787 and a death toll for Airbus. (when it eventyually comes out!, the 7-Late-7 it is called)

  • Well, there's no doubt that the 747-400 hasn't upheld it's reputation for performance and efficiency since it entered service in 1989 with Northwest. Personally though, (no offense to Boeing) I'd prefer the 777 over the 787. It seems to me, that it's more reasonable. But's that's my view of it. I mean honestly, Boeing and Airbus will always be neck-and-neck with competitions. To me. I think they're both great, but I can't wait to see the new 747-800. Thanks for replying...Peace!

  • May I ask you what runway you departed on? As well as the SID, if you know? Great takeoff! My complimetns to you.

  • Here at LHR, dont know. Didnt pay too much attention. On my LAX T/O the SID was a LOOP 4 departure "Dagett".

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why does a jet engine so attractive to us?

    (2) Why do we enjoy hearing the high-pitch-sound of jet engines?

    (3) What is the motivation for some hobbists to build a small jet-engine in thsir backyard?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and braiinstorm!!! :)

  • Sweet, music to my ears! Hey i wondered because you had a full load, did you perfrom a shallow climb instead of a steep one? Did you 'slip' into an of the jetstreams this time? Do American Airlines use the GE-90 angine or the Rolls Royce Trent engines? Thanks for the video, awesome!

  • Sorry I ran out of memory, ur question would have been answered with a few more mins! No our climb was steep to about 5k ft, hard right turn, then we powered up even more and went thru teh clouds quickly to about 30k ft then cruised up to 38k ft. I will upload it now, just for you - its only 20 sec's but goooood sound. Engines are RR on AA 772's. I cant wait until AA gets the 773's. They ordered 7 already and d#1 is due very soon.

  • Again, love the sound of those Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines! Awesome!

  • Notice how the start up here is max power all the way (compared to LAX to LHR [my other video]...)At LAX it is a 3 level start. Also see the wiing flex (lift) at 1.48? We were ready to lift then, but due to the heavy load we didnt until 2.02 or so. In my other video, when the wing flexes, we go up right away (much lighter load).

  • Very nice take-off!

    And again in First Class!

    5/5
