@JmChadillonProduct it's good enough, not like he wanted to know what the k20z1 or k20a2 is or the k20z3. even then, they are essentially the same engines. The good K20s (the ~200hp ones) available easily in the states only come from RSX Type S and 06+ Civic Si. If you're looking to swap in a k20, those are the cars you're on the lookout for. nitpick fail

@isthissnfree im pretty sure that there are subtle differences between the engines, just because they make around the same amount of power doesnt mean they are exactly the same. Im pretty sure that type s is cable throttle and Si is DBW. This could make the cost of your swap your "on the look out for" more expenisve/less expensive. There are more differences in the engines than you may think. even though all k series engines are quite interchangable with parts from one to another.

I have seen a couple of Fit's w/ K20s in them ... someone needs to build a replacement tach! The K20 actually revs higher than 8000 - 8200 is the fuel cutoff, and with Hondata reflash it's up to 8600. Looks retarded seeing the tach needle max out like that. Probably makes it harder to drive, too.

no the suspension is upgraded so the little extra weight in front is not noticeable. Progress suspension did an amazing job, I drive it daily.

I did have AC when the Car did not have the supercharger. now with the supercharger I DO NOT have AC. I can get the AC back , I just need to make a custom line from the commpressor to the firewall, because the supercharger is in the way.

Thats a k20z3 that comes from the new SI. You have a k20a2 or a3. z3 is just a little bit different.

I have the 02 type-s so mine has the a2, with a 7800rpm redline, and 200hp at 7400rpm. The z3 (06+ si) is with a 8200rpm redline with 197hp at 7800rpm. So there is no reason to even go past the peak hp rpm because you lose power beyond that plus it increases the risk of blowing the engine. No matter what kind o k20 is in this fit there is no reason to go beyond 7800rpm maximum, and this guy is shifting beyond 8000rpm.

maybe by revving the motor a little past the peak horsepower mark you can stay a little higher in the power after shifting. or maybe the mods push the peak numbers a little further into the rpms

Please don't speak out of your ass if you do not know what your talking about. The K20A2/Z1 can be revved to 86-8700 safely on a COMPLETELY STOCK longblock. Go on ClubRSX and read up a little and inform yourself. I had an '02 RSX-S with the same setup as this and that car saw 8,700rpm's numerous times a day for over 25,000 miles. Going past redline doesn't necesarily damage engines, rememeber this is a Honda it makes peak torque 500rpms before redline.

If I remember correctly, both the L15A found in the Jap and USDM are on the same basis.

Japan Fit does not come with K20s. K20 is usually a custom job fitting.
