The compilation record is produced by David Byrne and is entitled Beleza Tropical.

It is a rarity and you should pick it up wherever you find it. It contains some of the greatest hits from the 60's and 70's Tropicalia music and was co-produced by the artists themselves, I think. This was when some of them were still in exile from the gov't. Beleza Tropical is basically the equivalent of the Monterey Pop album in my opinion, in terms of introducing a whole new line of music to American ears.

it was recorded at '76... at this time Byrne was only a guy with a nice band.

Great song, but one note. Not produced by David Byrne. He did put it on a compilation record he assembled with some of his favorite Brazilian songs, but he did not produce this song.
