  • fleas signal got mest up at the beggining.....

  • Stupenda canzone! *.* RHCP a Vita!

  • I like when the chili peppers have average gitarists because it gives Flea a chance to rape both ears instead of letting the guitarist have one, but i do think John is a better fit.

  • They should play one hot minute more

  • bASS TO MOUTH

  • Damn i hope someday i can play that sexy of a bass groove

  • I love how Anthony and Flea both have changed so much, but Chad looks exactly the fuckin same haha

  • @WondrousBurrito and always will

  • Dear dave navarro: stick to janes. That is all.

  • yes, aeroplane is a great song...but think about how much better it would have been if Frusciante was on guitar...

  • @jtessexpress man,

dave navarro created this,so,this is better when he plays

  • @kaplanjoedudugames sorry- i just dont think that strumming up and down on the bottom three strings while barring the same fret is very creative. Frusciante would have made a funky ass riff with this to match flea's unbelievable bass line

  • Comment removed

  • @kesha98654

i can't believe how hot he still with 48 is

  • anthony's a little fat here...

  • holy shit chads roll at around 2:53.......one of the most underrated drummers ever...he always does but he is attack it in this vid

  • @jooooosr Eeeh, I don't know. I guess I prefer Frusciante, but from what I can tell Navarro is fantastic aswell.

  • @jooooosr they both have different styles but one is not BETTER than the other, just different

  • best band ever. jam bands are the best. these guys are the best jam band. better than phish. navarro is a sick guitarist. they kicked him out because they said he was too "rock" for their funk style. ever see the video of just chad and flea jammin'? sick. every time you see them live they play the songs with new stuff mixed in. jammin' is beautiful.

  • That female backing vocalist is pretty sexy

  • I really think this is probably there most creative era.

One Hot Minute is easily my favourite album, its so interesting and emotional and manages to keep awesome basslines, tight drums, interesting vocals and theres some great moments for Daves Guitar.

Alot of people, say this album is so different because of Dave, but when you look at it, this album easily has fleas hardest basslines.

Anyway, great performance, i wish they'd play this album again :(

  • perfect song!

  • mto bom red hot essa musica é fodah dá nuam

  • Would have loved to be there, the crowd looks nuts! haha

  • @kesha98654 SHUT YOUR FUCKING PIE HOLE BIMBO

  • Navaro= no feeling

  • @kesha98654 its not that, i mean like flea is one of the best bass players out there this band has a lot of variety and theyre music has a lot of theory into and the rhythm is really hard cse of offbeats. Its not that they act stupid, they just want the audience to have fun, especially flea when hes moving around, hes just expressing the way he feels.

  • gotta love the wah guitar sound and the slap bass

  • best version of this song ive ever heard

  • fleagasm

  • anthonys hair is really long

  • mindgasm.

  • they gave

  • I Love RHCP (bom d+) Cool ;-)

  • Epic

  • wow that was a lightning fast bass change!!

  • What happened to Flea about 1:30 into it?

  • fail! xD

  • i wonder how embarresed flea felt

  • was the e on the bass out of tune at the beggining?

  • think it mightve been a tad flat, might have been intentional but who knows.

  • john refuses to play dave navarro songs live

but maybe we will get to hear this song live with josh

    would be awesome

  • @MrKail why is that? that john duznt play his songs??

  • @clawzyjayjfuni I don´t know but it´s a fact

maybe he can´t recognize himself in someone eles´s work

I think john is very sensitive in such things

  • the bass failed to sound at the begginig

  • @slapit5 Nah he changed bass because it was out of tune

  • será un maquina navarro, pero no concibo red hot sin frusciante.

  • dave navarro sucks compared to jhon

  • @TIPPMANN1101 fuck you, dave is a boss. dave and john are both amazing guitarists, don't even attempt to put down either of them.

  • chill out dude im just saying they wernt the same without jhon, dave is awsome in janes addiction i just dont think its the same without jhon!

  • god, it looks like they have a party up on stage, this is one of my top 3 fav bands, and ive been listenign to them since i was 6 and still ove them now

  • omigosh, the bass . . . :D I'm speechless

  • it is dave navarro

  • fleas gettn it on that bass dam i dont think i can find bass plyer that good in my band

  • @Musiciswhatcounts hey dude is dave navarro who play guitar :P

  • dave navarro

  • @Musiciswhatcounts navarro dude

  • it is dave navarro

  • I eat cereal and watch flea play bass guitar every morning too!

Great way to start the day.

  • 2:17-2:19 O_O

    Did anthony belch?

  • They seem Stoned as hell.

  • yeah, espeshaly flea

  • funky as hell.

  • I feel like I never hear anyone talking about Hillel Slovak. R.I.P.

  • @HigherGround93 i love Hillel Slovak but i cant remember is he played on their song higher ground

  • @1970metalfan John played on that song

  • @HigherGround93 everyone talks about Hillel, it's just that most people only know RHCP for their most famous hits which happen to come from when John was in the band

  • And what the hell happened to Flea's bass for a little bit ?

  • guess it was detuned and he gave it away to a technican and got another tuned one

  • Flea is totaly fucked up! :D

and i dont care who played, navarro or whatever, im gonna enjoy the music, rather than try to be proud of knowledge about RHCP assholes!

  • Dave can sing too, listen to under the bride at woodstock 1994. For some reason they put gay background singers instead when I much rather would have had Dave Navarro sing.

  • what do you mean? That Dave could sing ini the original Under The Bridge at the backround and not John?

  • As good as Chad Smith is, I'd say the drums would be the easiest to replace. In fact, I'd say Anthony Kiedis would be the hardest member to replace. The band changed radically when Dave Navarro took over briefly, as it did when Frusciante took over (I greatly prefer Frusciante, but I also greatly enjoy One Hot Minute, and Freaky Styley, for that matter, so I ain't dissin'). But imagine if Anthony Kiedis had been replaced in that time period. The result would have been a radically different band.

  • agree, but disagree. flea would be irreplaceable.

  • Well, I agree with that, but someone could cheaply imitate him before Kiedis.

Personally, I think all three of the main guitarists the group has had are irreplaceable as well, in a way--they were all part of the Chili Peppers, but those are essentially three different bands with the name of Red Hot Chili Peppers.

  • +1. actually, +5.

they all had different styles of playing, but yet had some very similar licks. dave great, but hillel and john kinda took it up a notch in the end i guess. 'specially when they mellowed down abit in californication/stadium

  • Anthony Kiedis delivers a strong performance in this video. He is far from virtuosic, but he gets his job done.

Is Anthony Kiedis the least talented member of the Chili Peppers? Possibly, if you were to measure talent from a rigid technical perspective. Is he the least important member of the Chili Peppers? Absolutely not; his vocals (even to throw out the lyrics) and stage presence are an identifying factor of the group, and it wouldn't be the same without him.

  • This band is Chad Smith and Flea period.

The guitarist need have a sense of funk but for the most part you can plug just about anyone in there.

My personal favorite happens to be One Hot Minute.

I'm sure I've just committed blasphemy but hey...it's about the music not the members right??

  • this is when dave navarro was their guitarist and the one thats playing for them now is John Frusciante and he is awesome listen to funky monks i have it so listen to it and its kinda funky lol

  • WTF are you people talkin about! Anthony to be kicked out of the band he helped to found! Dont be silly!

  • guess what ...........ak is the shit........there's a reason why he's played MSG and we haven't.

  • godamn navaro really perfects his solos, sounds fairly similar to the recording... altho he cant sing and frusciante has alot more emotion in his playing and stage presence

  • Yeah Navarro is a really good guitarist, just listen to Jane's Addiction, his solos are just so wicked and full of energy.

  • whos the little boy singing background?he looks like hes 5

  • In due reverence and respect to Frusciante, I thought Navarro was still a great RHCP member.

  • With out Anthony Keidis it wouldnt be red hot chili peppers let me remind u that he does come up with most of the lyrics i wish he would hav takin vocal lessons earlier cus for stadium arcadium he was on key fuck u guys who say hes superfluous cus the vocals are really good even if they are out of his range (btw tenatum they r old high school buddies so thats y they keep him)

  • i know i know but im instrumentalist so i just dont prefer him thatss my opinnion

  • oh god i wanted to be there

  • i wonder why they keep AK in the band...

  • kedis has an amazing voice, atleast when hes sober. hes not shit fuck all u guys

  • If you've ever seen RHCP live, Anthony Kiedas is in and out of key all the time. The music really does overshadow his bad live vocals. He's a studio singer.

  • Anthony K. is the 'Ringo' of the RHCPs. He has the least talent, and is one lucky mofo to be in that band.

  • true, but he still is a good front man

  • and not to mention his great and deep lyrics...

    he's like the band's "soul preacher" ;-)

  • his role was more important back then than it is now. he had an energy that doesnt come through anymore.

John should go an do some solo work and leave RHCP, Dave should rejoin the peppers and tour with them and janes addiction.

then rhcp should break up, flea should go onto acting in coen brothers films, chad should focus on that japanese jazz band he has, and anthony kiedis go on a drug binge for 10 years then write an autobiography about how he went in and out of rehab 50 times.

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • ahahhahahaha. great summary

  • It's true, but he's charismatic, and has a great stage presence. Mind you when Anthony joined RHCP he had absolutely no intention on becoming a vocalist for a living, so he didn't really start training until quite late.

  • Flea has mad skillz

  • "And the little Japanese kids are eating cereal and watching you play bass guitar." HAHA!

  • No offence to the phenomenal talent of the other instruments....but....I wish the camera had just focused on Flea, and let us see in much greater detail how he constructs such a infinitely inspiring groove that instantly puts you into a stellar mood.

  • that was quite an exceptionally exceptional anechdote

  • oh well I love One Hot Minute too!! it's such a great album, one of the best of these boys. respect to mr. Navarro, great player of the guitar.

  • 1:29-1:39

    What happened to Flea?

  • lol technical difficulties

  • his bass was out of tune

  • I think he was just bending the note, If ur talking about the high G on the chorus.

  • haha 0:19 - 0:22

  • who's that guy in theback

  • Back up singers for the chorus

  • Flea´s slap bass

    rules

I love red hot chili peppers

i´m waiting for them in argentina

  • Seeeee posta, alguna vez deberían venir.

  • navarro in my opinion just dosent suit the chili peppers, in this video flea is running the show, watch under the bridge woodstock 94' same too

  • I agree about dave but this song and my friends are fantastic songs

  • Yeah me too, my friends is a savage song

  • Comment removed

  • dave navaro is a fucking sucker loser!

  • He isn´t he got not the style of the peppers but it´s a great guitarist

  • The drummer always reminds me of will ferrel......

  • I think Anthony just have to wear ugly shoes xD at that time and today..

  • Hey shut the fuck up about this Fruichante v. Navarro shit...they are both really good...i dont even notice Fruichantes guitar playing as "better than navvaros" the only thing Fruichante has over Navarro is that he can sing.

  • does anyone else see that toddler in the background? why is he there?

  • Anyone else feel he nailed the vocals on that one?

  • who is the guitar??

  • Dave Navarro

  • Dave Navarro also of Porno For Pyros and Jane's Addiction.

  • Dave Navarro, the guy who exploded all Red hot Chili peppers' talent... now they're fucked up with John Frustration.

    =)

  • compared to the normal rhcp record sales this record failed. i mean i liked it but i guess alot of other people didnt and as soon as they got rid of navarro their record sales jumped back up

  • Since when good records are based on sales?

    what a noob, amigo.

  • since always. haha idk where u been but a band is always gonna look at how much money they make on sales and how many people come to shows. before they think about their personal preference on music. me for instance i enjoyed my old bands music more but it couldnt sell. we kicked out the singer and brought a chick in and sing poppy music that i ussually dont like and we got people lookin to book us. money makes the world go round bud...

  • thats why no one will ever know who mikethebassguy was. With a douchy attitude like that, it's clear you're a sell out to your own music. You adjusted your style to accomodate someone else. You should have just made your crappy music a little better and tweaked your approach. money makes the world go around, but love and music make you stop and appreciate the moment you're in. Money has no place in it.

  • haha im already recognized as one of the bess bassists in my area... i enjoyed playing it more because i was a lead bassist with a rythym guitar not the other way around. listening to the music id think ud agree with me and if u want i can send u links to both music pages for u to decide urself. i did adjust my style accordingly and it took me down a diff road. dont get me wrong i liked one hot minute but i liked blood sex sugar magic more...

  • The best musicians have always been the modest ones, just keep that in mind

  • that atitude will not work, no matter how far your techniques can go..

  • frustration xD that was a good one ;-)

but I like both of their styles, and frusciante is damn talented as well
