@Schmurze looking at his fretting, he's using EAGG (pretty ridiculous, my strings aren't light enough for that). I use EGEG. Same results, u only fret the two middle strings (and doesn't break the D string by tuning it to G :)

You're playing it slightly wrong. I mean in terms of when you play it. But your note placement is perfect. You're playing it in rhythm with the timing so going "1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4" when you should actually be following the 2 stroke gallop of the drums which has a pattern more akin to playing 2/3 notes every beat in a 12 beat bar.

The first octave notes in the the rhythm can also be found on the 10th fret on the E string and 12th fret on the D string so when you move onto the next octave notes so you don't have to continuously make the more effort of moving from the 5th fret (bass note) on the A string to the 10th fret (next bass note) on the same string since this rythm is repeated throughout the whole song

@Mashirafen Probably practice - build dexterity and strength. My hand cramps too - it's easier played on the higher octave (A5/G7, or E10/D12). Also you can "cheat" and, instead of fretting the D, you could play it open and hammer on the 12th. Imo it sounds better played on the low (drop Db)

You could try lowering the internation - setting the strings closer to the fretboard makes it easier 2 fret them.

Problem i have is alot of muse is played with an octave drop -im having trouble doing that

@SpitahW for me, i completely turned off all effects on my amp. All to 0. Then i put the "bass" on full. My sound was pretty similar to this. also, add a little "treble" on your amp. Oh, and using a pick will kill the tone if tthats what ur getting at
