I tried to watch this video with no bias although I ride myself (no where near as powerful a bike though) and I have to say right about when the cop got air over those tracks in that little farming town I though this was ridiculous, I'm sure no one got mad at the cop over even gave him/her a slap on the wrist for that complete disregard for public safety. Police cars are not made to out run everything. That's what radios are for. They usually have a few more horse power than the civilian model and a tougher suspension. They are made to get to emergencies faster. I'm not sure what kind of patrol the officer was driving, but it sounded like a Ford. if it had been a Dodge Charger with the Hemi. He would have caught you no problem.
Yes a motorcycle will out run a patrol car in most cases, but it is up to the officers in most states wether to pursue or not. The driver could have killed a kid too! Atleast the officer had a siren to warn people he was coming. When you hear that common sense should kick in, and you get out of the way.I would never chase a motorcycle unless it was life or death. The cop caught up with you on too many occasions, your cue to pull over and cry uncle. If you're gonna try your luck again, put enough distance on him so he loses sight of you. If you don't lose him in 5 minutes, game over. You're right about the double standard of recklessness regarding police pursuits, unfortunately, the legal system gives them a pass.

This video is awesome! makes a complete fool of the cop. I hope you start doing riding practice for cornering. I had to practice the same thing on my 929. It is much different than my years racing dirt. Why do cops feel necessary to chase for a 14mph over speed? Each vehicle is different, and those bikes are SO much more capable than the speed limit. My bike is not even comfortable below 70. The guy showed respect for towns, why doesn't the cop do the same? Terribly Hippocratic.

The amazing thing is above all..is if the cops would try as hard to catch drug addicts and clean up gangs there would be no crime. They are willing to die and kill everyone around them to chase a speeder who has a job and most of the time is on their way to work or school but, wont do shit about the crime in the inner cities or borders. Folks its about money. Cost to much to do an investigation but, speeding tickets and seatbelts all money. If seatbelts were about safety, what about school buses

I tried to watch this video with no bias although I ride myself (no where near as powerful a bike though) and I have to say right about when the cop got air over those tracks in that little farming town I though this was ridiculous, I'm sure no one got mad at the cop over even gave him/her a slap on the wrist for that complete disregard for public safety. Nobody would be worried about the biker have that excuse for a public safety officer hit a small child who was walking home from school.

@Troyc20 The cop wasn't doing it for fun. He was chasing a criminal. If the officer had hit and killed a little child, it would have been a murder charge for the biker. When a person is committing a felony (evading), any deaths that occur as a result, either direct or indirect, are murder charges for the felon. The officer was doing his job. The recklessness occured as a result.

what happened and how did you get caught because from the video it looks like he gave up but you got the chase video so im guessing they got you some how ive ran once on my bike from the cops the best thing to do is get a far enough led and pull over somewhere to hide out because the long the chase goes on and he keeps up the more time they have to call in back up most of the cops in my town give up right away because it usually ends up bad in the end result

When you see blue lights, you have a choice to make, and fast. 14 over is not really that big of a deal. If your shits together, you will get more respect from the cop by just stopping. He knows we cant catch you, but this egotistical cop makes the decision to continue the chase instead of pitting the bike @ 2:13, using a radio, or just identifying the bike and doing paper work. As for the bike operator, you should see the damage a bike does to a stationary car @ 55mph. BOTH PARTIES GUILTY.

Stock those things usually have a decent amount of ponies under the hood, and they dont cost an arm and a leg, which is why most police forces use them. Police cars are not made to out run everything. That's what radios are for. They usually have a few more horse power than the civilian model and a tougher suspension. They are made to get to emergencies faster. I'm not sure what kind of patrol the officer was driving, but it sounded like a Ford. if it had been a Dodge Charger with the Hemi. He would have caught you no problem.

Yes a motorcycle will out run a patrol car in most cases, but it is up to the officers in most states wether to pursue or not. The driver could have killed a kid too! Atleast the officer had a siren to warn people he was coming. When you hear that common sense should kick in, and you get out of the way.I would never chase a motorcycle unless it was life or death. Forget about the statistics and all that horse shit. Use common sense!
