id go to the south of norway, cause i live in the west and its pretty much only wind here oh and rain and we had snow for about 5 months last year, well i live in heroy so i dont know much about the other places but its not that big so i think its pretty much the same...

@stanzjukebox during the winter, north-norway, where i live we the beautiful northern lights (aurora), but the south is more populated. all of norway is wonderfull, but in the winter i reccomend the north.
@westerbotn94, thank you so much :) ... main aim for the trip is definitely viewing aurora and then the waterfalls and the world heritage site. My dad and I are travelling, we have planned to be in Norway after 25th of March. Will it be late to get to see the northern lights by then? Will there be any snow around? What can we expect the climate to be like at that time.
@stanzjukebox the aurora is here during the whole winter, wich last 'til middle of May, so you might be able to catch a look at the beauty, we have little snow even now, so i can't say if there will be much snow in march, it's just too early to say. the temerature will propably range between 5 and -15 cecius, wich is pretty good as long as you don't put too much clothes on ;). again, it's way too early te give weather report that far ahead.

Norway has both beautiful nature and cities. We have warm summers and cold winters, and the only time in the year there's snow here, is in the Winter. Right now, theres 77 degrees F where I am, and few days ago, there were 93 degrees F far up north! It's over 86 degrees north for the Artic Sircle!
Norway looks epic, for sure. And it isn't expensive, if one live here. It's just very expensive for vacations. The pay is higher, so the prices is higher. Our biggest flaw (Our, because I am Norwegian ;) ) must be the lack of hospitality to tourists, etcetera =S It really is something Norway should work with getting better at.

I visited Norway some years ago (in 2003) , in motorhome. It's a wonderful and magic Country! I loved the fjords, lakes, waterfalls, woods, highlands...the cities (Oslo, Bergen, Alesund, Lillehammer), the Stavkirkes, the Trollstigen pass, the Jostedalsbreen...

@cooldog324 Ah, no, that's an example of our national costumes, or folk costumes. We call it a "bunad". Basicly they are for special occations. Usually worn on our national day, but some also choose to wear them on their wedding day and such. There are male versions as well. There are big regional differences between them as well. Perhaps more than you would think in such a small country.

I would recommend Hardanger, Hordaland. The west in Norway at summer! Were the most beautiful fjord Hardangerfjorden lays!

@stanzjukebox during the winter, north-norway, where i live we the beautiful northern lights (aurora), but the south is more populated. all of norway is wonderfull, but in the winter i reccomend the north.

My dad and I are travelling, we have planned to be in Norway after 25th of March. Will it be late to get to see the northern lights by then? Will there be any snow around? What can we expect the climate to be like at that time.

@stanzjukebox the aurora is here during the whole winter, wich last 'til middle of May, so you might be able to catch a look at the beauty, we have little snow even now, so i can't say if there will be much snow in march, it's just too early to say. the temerature will propably range between 5 and -15 cecius, wich is pretty good as long as you don't put too much clothes on ;). again, it's way too early te give weather report that far ahead.

Norway has both beautiful nature and cities. We have warm summers and cold winters, and the only time in the year there's snow here, is in the Winter. Right now, theres 77 degrees F where I am, and few days ago, there were 93 degrees F far up north! It's over 86 degrees north for the Artic Sircle!

Norway looks epic, for sure. And it isn't expensive, if one live here. It's just very expensive for vacations. The pay is higher, so the prices is higher. Our biggest flaw (Our, because I am Norwegian ;) ) must be the lack of hospitality to tourists, etcetera =S It really is something Norway should work with getting better at.

That being said it's quite a far stretch to think that you'd visit a country and there'd be no odds of bad people here. Stay exited, many types of wierdos are in any country but the odds of you meeting one is not too high, especially as a tourist.

I live in norway and it is a very beuatiful country, I love it ! But if I'm going to say something negative about it then I'll have to say that it's very expensive here. I was in England last year and I bought a Nintendo Wii game. It cost me 30£ (pounds), while back in Norway it cost mabye 550kr (norwegian money) and that is like 55£ or something so it's much more expensive..
BUT I STILL LOVE IT !! -3

I visited Norway some years ago (in 2003) , in motorhome. It's a wonderful and magic Country! I loved the fjords, lakes, waterfalls, woods, highlands...the cities (Oslo, Bergen, Alesund, Lillehammer), the Stavkirkes, the Trollstigen pass, the Jostedalsbreen...

@Dungarth you'd be surprised. theres not that many africans in norway. its mostly pakistani people, theres also quite a few somalis. but these are all muslims creating problems. i wouldnt say africans in general as non muslim africans are very nice people and hardly created trouble.

@cooldog324 Ah, no, that's an example of our national costumes, or folk costumes. We call it a "bunad". Basicly they are for special occations. Usually worn on our national day, but some also choose to wear them on their wedding day and such. There are male versions as well. There are big regional differences between them as well. Perhaps more than you would think in such a small country.
