Hey so I have a question. I just bought mine and I am trying to figure out if the exhaust is all one piece or if I will buy a header and then the pipe. If anyone can help point me in the right direction help would be greatly appreciated. Also what is a good manual to buy for these bikes.
Nice throaty gnarly sound. I've the same machine & I installed the Supertrapp which I like, but yours sounds just a little meaner. KLR rules! 20+ years and counting.
Jetson is the brand. I purchased it on EBay from usa-motorcycles-inc. The pipe gave good results in the torque, I noticed faster tach red line time. It runs great now and does not seem to be running to lean because of changing the pipe. I no longer have the KLR I now have the M109R and have done a pipe change on it also. I will try and post a video sometime.
cool, but i keep my 07 klr completely stock, it works just fine and i dont need anything fancy or super fast. i got a leftover, but the dealer still had it in the shipping box, untouched, and i still got a big discount, i got lucky, usually they display their bikes outside all day and the sun fades the plastic, but mine is mint and perfect. love my klr
hey, just wanted to say that this pipe is definitly loud and sounds good. i just put one on my 06 xr650l and it sure does bark. if your not sure and want something loud, then this would be one to consider. if you dont like loud then dont buy this pipe.

I hate to say it but I do not have the KLR any longer. Had to stop riding due to herniated disk

Not gonna lie, thats badass and I want your exhaust. I also like the color of yours, my 07 is red and im not the biggest fan.

Good sound. Notice any difference in power? I have two KLRs and both got a little extra HP after installing an open exhaust.

yes, there was a slight improvement in power but I has also changed the airbox filter when I changed the exhaust.

I put a Super Trapp and K&N filter on my '05 and the thing sounds and runs great!

does it have a forestry dept approved spark arrester on it? or can I get one that has a spark arrester? thanx in advance

I can not say for sure if it is Forestry Dept Approved but it does have a Spark Arrester. (Stainless Wire Mesh.)
