For those of you who dont get this - I feel sorry for. The contrast between the beauty of the music, shear brutality of the crime and the honesty in the lyrics is brilliant. The video is intended to be disturbing & with the above combination it is an artistic masterpiece. I find the video extremely frightening and chilling and the track haunting. I believe this is very well done.
@GodnotagainOh I don't particularly need to have experienced being stabbed to disagree with the selection of Moonlight Sonata being mixed with video footage worse than something a film student would produce in their first year, and the fact that I'm a fan of the original version of Stabbed as opposed to this version, in which I gave my initial response the first time I heard said version. Just my opinion again.
@MrNodzilla Yes,. I saw the Vegas in Hawick a few weeks ago. I didn't notice but loads of others said they were miming. Why on earth. that was the 4th time I;ve seen them and going to Edinburgh on 1st March. Surely not again? Hoping it was just the new material?
these lads have 2 good songs geraldine and that cheating heart one the rest are some of the most depressing fuckn songs ive ever heard in my life! even the names, stabbed and lonesome swan, for fuck sake!
as if they hadn't pissed all over thheir own work enough by including this on their othewise great album. they go and drag Beethoven into it specificaly his Piano Sonata No. 14. seriously litsten about a minute and a half in you can hear poor ludwig spinning in his grave. fucking worst attempt at music + poetry ever.
whoever decided to include this abomination on this otherwise perfect album should be beaten with a rusty meat hook. its crap. it does not make any slight but of sense. i thought it was going to be an observation on knife crime. but its just a randodm sellection of words which can only be connected to knife crime in the loosest sense. i hate it. I HATE IT, ARGHHHHHHHHHHH! I HATE IT.
i love glasvegas. love them one of the best debut albums ever. i also love spoken word pieces. when i saw the name of the song and head the first words i thought i'dl love this. but its self indulgent pretenntious crap. it doesn't even make any fucking sense. I HATE IT. hearing this song on this album is like getting half way through the nicest mean you've ever ate and finding a pube. it doesn't matter how nice the meal was, ITS RUINED.
what a pure outburst, this song is pure shit man, how do folk acc like this? the only hauf decent glasvegas song is fkn geraldine this alod ae shite n tht nugget oot ae glasvegas widnae ken the difference faer gtn stabbed fae a toothbrush n get stabbed wae a samarui
children children...........calm down one and all.
we know the song is about a personal experience in a tough glasgow scheme but itsno different from any other scheme in another major city( bootle in merseyside or salford manchester) from personal experience.
However...........the early original version is way better>
So you're basically saying that music is connected to facts, not as an expression of certain emotions in certain circumstances?
Personally I find that war crime should not be accompanied by Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, I'd put some cold Joy Division track over it. And say to you: ffs this hasn't got anything to do with moonlight, it's cold-blooded gruesome massmurder, it's emotionless. But I would say such utter nonsense, expression and emotion is individual experience.
You don't have to be from Glasgow to relate to this song.
Every scummy little fuck who thinks attacking people on the street makes you something fucking cool... get cancer and die soon, vermin. Before you fucking breed.
Totally agree with your views - trouble is they do breed and end up on day time tv or in prison and unfortunately the nice people get cancer - that's the way it seems to be!
Brilliant video. Neds are just misunderstood...they need dance therapy and lots of love. Trisha will never provide those needs...she's a dead end. And no, Jeremy Kyle won't help either. Love...that's all
This is easily one of the funniest things I have ever heard, fair play.

The biggest failure of a song ever. Whoever thought it would be a great idea to mix Moonlight Sonata should get two 45. Calibur rounds to the head!
