ok, i'm 14 years old, but rocknroll is just the best music, cause it makes you feel happy and makes you wanna dance.... so its the fuckin best stuff on earth..
Brings back memories of 1969.I began learning about the "classics" at a young age.It still rings true. I just turned 49,and this music makes me feel fine. :)
Saw this band at an open air festival at an old football stadium in Toronto - same event that produced the John Lennon Live Peace in Toronto album. Cat Mother and the All Night Boys held their own in a line up that included Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and many more. Their 1st album was stuck on my turntable for weeks - still sounds great!
They opened for a Led Zeppelin concert I went to in Jacksonville, FL, in 1969, I believe it was. I already had enjoyed this song somewhat but I came back home and bought the album. I still have it AND also have a old poster with Led Zep and Cat Mother's names on it from that concert. Good effing times.

1969 to me was the peak of rock music's development. This was probably the first song to nostalgize on the beginning of the rock era (though the 1961 hit Those Oldies But Goodies deals with some of the early pop). Progressive Rock also began that year, Psychedelic rock was stilll going strong, and the Beatles had their Abbey Road. Some of the first Rock history books came out that year. I hate being born in the '80s!

I remember seeing them sing this on AB in '69. The other song they sung went something like "Did You See Marie"?. It was a slower song.
