Dick? Perhaps. However, this style of teaching guitar via video is easily the best for 'fresh' beginners I've seen. I use to be a beginner with no personal instruction and I remember how unhelpful most videos were because they're too fast paced for extremely new players. I see no reason for anyone to shit on it.

I was told by one of my friends, that is a very experienced musician, that what could be the crazy sound on this song is that, Jack took a multi-track recording both with intense compression and put them together so that its so compressed it makes that almost octaver sound. That may not be the case but he went to like music school and used to be a sound engineer so he should know what hes talking about.

Jack White uses an octave for this so it sounds really sweet, but it's fun to try to play the octaves with no effects too haha
