This is Coin Shooting? I thought you would be actually shooting coins, hehe...silly me, Must be an American Phrase. I enjoyed the video thouroughly anyways. =)
Hey...i want to get into "dirt fishing" i was given an old garrett ground hog 15....i think its a big paperweight but several people tell me different..its OLD it works well except i cant figure out how to calibrate it correctly...any tips or any collector of old metal detectors collectors out there?
cool video,i have never seen coins come out so shallow,in mo. where i live old coins usually about 6 to 7 incnes or deeper. on rare ocassions maybe 4or 5 inches but not often.
Hi you guys make great videos, got a Question for you do you have anyone who could make a video about Ground Balancing a Tesoro Tejon, since Tesoro's web server bombed out on them.
Thanks for watching and commenting - I wish that I could help you out with the Tejon but I cant. I use a White's MXT exclusively. You might try talking with Don Dodson at N GA Relics - he is an expert at many machines including the Tejon.
I enjoyed your video very much. I am heading to Georgia to do some detecting on Sunday and staying a week. Hope to find something good. I will be just east of Marietta. Hope you can detect parks. LOL
Chris, nice finds. My 9 Y/O and I really enjoy the videos. You do a good job showing him how to dig the plugs but could you show reolacing them in a future video. I stress to him the necessity of "leaving it like you found it". It would help to see how to do it. I've showed him but it would help if he sees you do it too. He's 9 going on 19 and the "old man" doesn't know much.
Unfortunately the nickel is not silver but I'm sure that there will be some on this property - I will definately be going back there soon. Thanks for looking at my video(s) - be sure to check back soon for some Civil War fishing.
when you find a coin... don't rub the grit of the dirt into the coin; you could be hurting the value. use water to clean it off.

Great video! Wouldn't that 1902 nickel be some silver? I just tried to look for it on coinflation and couldn't find it. Thanks!

if you clean it up it will be silver
cessnaoneeightytwo 3 years ago
Unfortunately, nickels were only made with silver from 1942-45 due to the lack of other metals during the war.
