i had this episode on video which i found in a charity shop a few years ago. the video was called sooty's restaurant and it had another episode when soo didnt let the guys eat anything they wanted and she wanted them to eat healthier stuff. could you upload that episode please its called "food for though"

Harry created it, Matthew perfected it.

It is incorrect. The father MADE the show.

To be absolutely honest with you, by comparison with the other shows on TV- especially children's shows, the father's version had much more impact and was huger by comparison. Sooty had more character. Too many props can diminish the 'size' of the character.

It is the characer that makes Sooty.

Harry was also brilliant, no-one is denying that - Matthew made the show his own and entranced whole new generations with it. Just look at how appalling the show became after he retired!

Did you ever consider that perhaps your knowledge of the exact scene around Harry's programme and his achievements may simply be missing your personal, living presence at the time? ... and that therefore, you really lack in true, first-hand appreciation re precise television and film industry environment of his day to be in genuine position to judge between the two??
