  • what punty were yall using on that? was it kind of like a big dome punty with a line or an x across it?

also are yall melting a custom batch, or does it just seem like you have a super long glass cause yall are just that good ;)

  • Check out that punty. If I remember right we had used the same punty all day. It was a masterpiece. We should of lehred it!

  • I love watching this guy work. He's very smooth when he's working.

  • i make colored candleholders using bar murrine scraps as color chunks in a similar fashion. using a combination of swinging and marvering to get the length and then i flatten by having my partner use the paddle on the bottom while i flatten the top with the jacks.

  • Beautiful, is Bristol blue the same as Cobalt blue. You should put some, Come & Go blues with it.

  • @Wolf4u2

similar, and im sure there's cobalt in the batch but bristol blue's been the same color for a long long time, longer than living souls at any rate.

  • can you post the first part of this?

  • start w/ a bubble then just blow/stretch the bubble out until you have the length. Make sure you have the jack line in before you start to stretch it.

It looks like in this video the tip was heated up then blown out thus they needed more glass at the end. You could (most likely) come up with another way to lengthen the piece. (eg: paper the sides or marver the sides may work).

    hope this helped

  • thank you. forgetting to marver the tip could be a disastrous mistake
