  • Why do I love these toads so much??? Theyre amazing, docile, creatures, and most of the time they dont mind at all if you handle them.

  • All glory to the Hypnotoad!

  • Okay aussies or whatever you want to call yourselves you brought the toads there into austrailia so blame the "brilliant" scientists who thought it would be a good idea to bring highly poisonous toads in a land that is not native to them to eat beetles. Did you really think they would just eat the beetles and do nothing else? The toads didn't magically appear. So build a bridge and get over it.

  • i miss those toads, mostly I remember them from my youth at my grandparent's house on long island. But turns out that their next door neighboor had once taken their kids on a toad hunt. After they took them home, they escaped and must've spread around the area.

  • frogs need water more than toads like living in water mostly

  • whats the difference between frogs & toads?

  • @mrSugarglider Toads are more warty and have rougher skin and aren't slimy. Frogs have smoothe skin and are slimy.

  • i keep hearin gthis sound in my backyard. it is exactly like this. i thought it was a cricket.

  • Man I love toads so much. They like to be scratched just behind the ear. They lean into it. I've got a big one who visits my front porch every night. I call him Mr. Big and I help catch bugs for him. I throw them down to him and he snaps them up. He's getting so fat! LOL!

  • I've got one adult SUB i have a lot more than toads.. alot more

  • i have 30 toads in my window well and they all live nicely and we take them out for swims and hops around the yard. Their my little babies i call them. their so cool! but 1 we found had its neck puffed out like that, but it was stuck like that and it didnt go down until like 3 days later! the veins and everything were out! it was horrible, but now he's better. we have 3 females and they layed eggs in our pool with our tadpoles. i have videos on them on my youtube channel. :) cool video! :)

  • I love toads... They sing like crazy outside my window! :)

  • cool! do you live near a pond? i hear crickets at this time of year and love it!

  • Actually no, thats the weird part! But there are hundreds of tiny ones living under a giant climbing rose outside my bedroom- Big ones too- I keep two huge ones I found there in a tank in my room^^

  • cool do you live out in the country? yeah they sound cool.when i was younger i use to catch toads id find them at my church under rocks and wood and stuff.now when i take walks at night sometimes ill see a few toads hanging around on the sidewalks.one time i saw a tiny toad the size of my thumb nail! little guy was in the street so i saved him and put him in the grass so he would not get run over.

  • Thats so nice^^ I love the thumb nail ones- Thats how big most are in my yard. But no- I live in the city :( Wish I lived in the country though!

  • well im in the city but take walks at my moms in the suburbs and i have seen them but when i was little i never seen them around there lol.yeah the country is really nice i love all those cricket sounds.sometimes the older toads are easy to catch cuz they go slower lol.sometimes i give them a little tap when i see them just saying hi lol

  • Man I've gotten peed on by so many toads I should be covered in warts but I'm not lolz!

We have crickets AND cicadas here- they are sooo loud. I think I have a vid up of them screaming...it can get old, I'll admit!

  • I once puffed out my neck to attract the ladies, but it made them all run away

  • Cute

  • THE FAMOUS MALE CALL

  • i think he wants froggy love with you

  • u no why he was croaking? u hear that aeroplane at 0.06, that particular noise make toads get all hyped up and start croaking

  • He probably pissed the toad off, so the toad secrete the poison to scare off the predator.

  • Oh my god. Just because your dog foams at the mouth it doesn't mean its poisoned. Maybe your dog needs to quit eating things that it shouldn't. Do you keep watch on your dogs?

  • Obviously you're mutt got what it deserved.

  • How was your dog killed by a toad? Toads are harmless. At best all they can do is secrete a foul tasting liquid that causes an animal (who has picked it up with their mouth) to drop it.

  • @meangreen69Nova yeah except its poison. go put one in ur mouth and see how u feel in a half hour.

  • @drama131313131313 <---what an idiot

  • @meangreen69Nova i don't have to explain myself. look it up, it kills animal all the time.

  • @meangreen69Nova American toads have paratoid glands on their backs just below their cranial spurs that are fat reserves. When they feel threatened, they secrete a toxin (it's also foul tasting, I imagine) that is capable of killing small dogs and cats. Larger animals would probably become ill but it wouldn't be fatal for them. Other types of toads like Cane and Rococco are more toxic. Rococcos have paratoid glands on their legs as well as their backs.

  • @0xkrisix0 If that were so, then our cat should have died. He actually picked up an American Toad in his mouth and the toad did secrete it's supposed toxin. Yes the cat got a good dose of it because he quickly dropped the toad and began shaking his head while foaming at the mouth. We never took him to the vet either. That's been at least 3 years ago and he's just fine.

  • @meangreen69Nova Come to Australia... Toads are making all our native animals extinct.

  • @meangreen69Nova,

Cane toads and the Colorado River toad are poisonous........but only when attacked by a predator would they squirt poison.

Other than that, they are harmless.

  • TOAD ABUSER

  • Sick shit!

  • these little fellas are sooo cute! i feel very fortunate that they live around my area.

  • It's really fun to catch their eggs and raise them up to toads too!

  • If I had a toad, it would be the American Toad in the video. One of my favorite videos of a toad

  • We have two american toads named

Hookie(female) and Lockie(male. My son caught and named them 2 years ago when he was 3. They are in love......Lockie sings to her at night and they hug for a week-long sometimes.

They are fat and content in their predator-free terrarium.

    They're fun to have around.

  • i have a toad that is 4 inches iong and 2 1/2inches wide

  • Me too-- I have video of giant toads up.

This one, though, is a real winner.

    Much enjoyed!

  • I just moved into a house with an old goldfish pond in the back yard. Still has plenty of fish and frogs. I go out every morning at 3 a.m. and watch them.

  • i have a toad

  • cool

  • Nice specie!

  • I am so relieved that I am not the only person dorky enough to happily post a singing toad video.

  • Nature is sublime man, who cares what other people think!

  • I completely agree!

I have a couple of toad vids up too!

    Great vid man!

  • @plainandtall That harmony puts many (myself thankfully aswell) to sleep pleasantly in may.

  • @plainandtall you think your dorky imagine all the people that will happily watch the vids!! such as myself

  • @plainandtall I hope it's not dorky to do that!
