You'd be surprised how little people care about stuff on the floor..I use the 'cleaning out some old junk' excuse to have stuff spread out on the floor. Like the episode of "the middle" where Axel walks on all the stuff the mom dumped on the floor and lawn..He didn't care :) great episode...cute kid too.
