I absolutely love his piano music and find it so inspirational…If anybody has a free moment please check out my channel and some of my own work, Thank you and much appreciated
@9989126 That was my initial reaction! It's not minimalism in the strictest sense, I mean it's no Steve Reich :), but Einaudi said he viewed minimalism as 'elegance and openness' which fits..I'd say it's more about sparse and 'minimal' orchestration rather than the traditional definitions of minimalist music.
@etake04 I think that it is also down to the fact that he repeats a lot of his work but if it's down to elegance and openness then I would definitely agree!
i was ready to punch a hole in my wall 20 minutes ago, after listening to ludovico einaudi for the last 20 minutes, it's completely changed my mindset. thank god for ludovico einaudi
My brother's name is Leo (I know this piece is about the animal but still) and I'm going to practise it so I can play it for him one day! (Hopefully not too far from now lol) I love and respect my brother with all my heart, he is such a great person, he has and always will be there for me when I need him, and is my best friend for life. What better way to express that then by playing this beautiful piece for him?
It's just something about Italy that gets to me...I visited Rome once, but even before then...I see their meticulously carved structures, beautiful paintings, so many good things coming out of Italy, important scholars, Ferrari, Bugatti, Prada, Serie A, etc; some people I met at a bakery in Rome, they seemed so passionate about their product...I don't want to generalize I don't know enough about Italy...I'm just intrigued by passionate people who take their craft very seriously like Ludovico.

The worst part is...when the song ends. But the best part is...0:00 - 5:04 <3

Leo is used as a male name in Italy. Leo is the name of one of the two sons of Ludovico.
Ciao.

the sublime music accompanies this carefully made short film , lending insight into the artist Ludivico Einaudi, and the very essence of life.
