  • My first kit was a red Ludwig with half of the stuff held on with duct tape. This is a great starting point, and the best thing is that when you upgrade a cymbal, some new heads, or even a whole kit, it's the greatest thing ever. You are starting off much better than most, and with practice you'll keep getting better. Some new drumheads would make this set sound better, and look on eBay for some good deals on professional level gear. Keep it up man, you're on the right path!

  • YOUUUUUUUUU SUCKKKKKKKKKKK

  • if tuned properly the shells are as good as any other

  • Selling my CB Drum kit as it was my starter kit so getting a new mapex kit so will be selling for just over £100 if intrested let me know

  • Keep up the good work bro. I started playing at 16 and gave up shortly thereafter once I discovered women, booze and fast cars. Then I got married and recently took it up again at age 39. Now I don't have the time to practice like I did. Stick with it, by the time you are my age you'll have been touring for 25 years!

  • you suck dead ass with shit stuck in it

  • @xXdrummer90xX everyone gotta start somewhere and really your just making drummers look stuck up and ignorant you had to start somewhere douchebag

  • @07brki fuck you asshole fucking tubby lumpkins.

  • im o-zone-ifying my cb drums crash cymbal... then im gonna turn it inside out and its gonna be EPIC

  • them toms are 12 and 13 not 10 and 12.

and to anyone that thinks cb drums suck. they may not be the best but its all about how you tune them. so if you cant get a good sound out of them its not the drums its you!!

  • you fucking suck dude

  • Good job but one thing try to keep on beat and put a pillow in ur bass this will give it a thud instead on Echo other than that keep going

  • kit sounds amazing at gigs

  • Dude nice kit i have a black one but change the cymbals i had the same hi-hat and cymbal and i hated them now i have a a zildjian hi-hat and cymbal and a sabian ride

  • u should put a pillow in the bass drum cause my drum teacher said that would take out the echo sound if you put a pillow inside it or something

  • the top of your drumsticks look like pretzels

  • Your what's are so crappy thx

  • at my future shop they are $429.99

  • i have a cb set of drums, 1985 model, all original and it sounds perfect, ive added on with other parts but ive had no problem out of it.

  • you suck...

  • you suck...

  • Get new heads, adjust your toms so that they are more comfortable (if that's comfortable for you, great) bring in your snare to where it is sort of "behind" the drum kit, but align it so that you sort of have "control" of everything on your set. I think of my snare as my "central area". If it's comfortable for me where it is and i can access everything on my kit with no problem then awesome, also tighten your snare tension some this will help with the sympathetic vibration and loose sound.

  • u need to mute tht. te set sounds bad but u could make it sound good. i fixed up a hundred dollar excel percussion drum set and u just put a little time into it and now i use it for recording it sounds great.

  • i might get that kit too tell me how it is.

  • dude get some EVANS drum skins...they sound so much better than the cb ones

  • I can instantly see what's wrong with this kit. Tighten your snare a lot more, a snare doesn't sound good when it's loose. Also, tighten your toms just a bit, not too much. Put a couple pieces of electrical tape on them, but don't make the strips too long or too short. This will dampen it, reducing the echo resulting in a better sound. Finally, take a pillow of some sort and put it inside the bass drum, pressing on the batter head. This will muffle the sound, giving it a good thump.

  • @Gwunty You're wrong about everything that you just said. The real problem with this kit, is that it's CB.

  • i have the same kit and it's sooo shity hopeing to get a new one though.. o i also have the same stix lol.. P.S. fix your kick man it sounds retarted

  • @Mccheese999 I have the same kit too and I have no problems with my kit.

  • i have the sames sticks and the same kit CB IS NOT BAD for money but there NOT GOOD.

the hi hat that i got when you press hard enough you can bend it

    it funny

  • noob question: if i get good drum heads, will that mean i don't have to wear silencers? ha.

  • by silencers do you mean wear ear plugs or mean mute them with tape?

  • ermm, i mean like the foam pad thingys you get to put on the drums.

  • @chrisjtt509 idk but if you want real good sounding drum heads, You should get these things called Evans rings. Trust me they improve the sound really good

  • i agree with skaterskill123 but you have to set up your kit to whatever is comfortable, there is no point having it so you can not play

  • learn to setup ur drums right kid, good lord its horrible.

  • Can anyone offer any advice I want to buy a drum kit, I havent played before. I need something which will last me around 3 years and wont sound awful. Im thinking about buying the Mapex VXB I know for a fact they make good drums, but its twice the price of the CB kit. Im a student and I do need to save but Im thinking long term.

  • @ConnecticutsBest dude the CB kit isn't horrible. it's a great starter set. in fact I'm still using it because I dont have the $ to buy a brand new Grestch or anything. If you can replace the cymbals and heads, you're in good shape.

  • get the mapex, or a ddrum diablo punx

  • @ConnecticutsBest hey cbs are good this kids drums are just tuned really bad, and if u want take off the 2nd mounted tom and make it a 4 pc,thats what i did and im in a metalcore band touring in florida. and the higher the snare is tuned the better it sounds so tune it high enough so it wont break, and buy quality cymbals and pedals, hope that helped.

  • why is you setup so weird, move the snare across just next to the bass pedal.

  • hey i have the sam kit its fine just to start out but u dont a grate kit if ur not a grate playey so just keep practicing=p

  • dude, i noticed u have some small indents in your toms from playing.

well, i got this exact same kit yestarday, and thats already happening to me.

any way on how to fix it or prevent it from happening more?

    plx reply. thx.

  • I have the same kit. And i was in the same situation. They dent because the skins arent very good skins, they dent very easily. You cant prevent that form really happening. All you need to do is buy some new skins. But it's not cheap replacing them. So if you dont want to spend money you'll have to live with it.

  • im too poor to buy new skins :( lol

    thx man =D

  • No problem but sooner or later you might have to replace them or they'll sound awful. It took me a pretty long time to get enough money but it was worth it. I got Remo Ebony Pinstripes and a Evans GAMD for my bass drum head which totaled to 200 dollars but it was worth it my set sounds like it's very expensive.

  • Good job bro! Nice Kit! Your kit doesn't suck. It'll do the trick. Just play it till it falls apart and buy the set you really want. God has an interesting way of starting us out. Sometimes we begin with the basics, but its not how you start bro, its how you finish. Just be thankful for the set and play your heart out.

    Be blessed!

    "T"

  • Your cymbals will crack and start fraying soon

when i had this kit they did it, so i just got sme paiste pst3 cymbals and problem solved.

  • Same to me, same kit, theyre made out of some really crappy metal, what cymbals would you reccomend, and hi hats?

  • Paistes are very good cymbals and they're pretty cheap. I suggest PST3s or PST5s.

  • wats up with ur snare bieng way off to the side

  • You should stick like a blanket in your bass drum. I have that same kit and hate it.

  • i put them in now

  • @Alukart117 cb drums are good stupid

  • the hi hats are 13 inches.

and the crash is a ride too.

  • DW drums are 1000. 000 times better

  • No shit stating the obviouse douche!

    its called a biginer set.

    hence

    CB=Composing Biginers

    dick.

  • um i picking up the same set in a week and im jus wondering if it is the 5 piece set and would you recomend it to a begginger/ intermideate drummer

  • NO.

  • the kit is only as good as the drummer who plays them ;)

  • @rhythmatheart, and tunes them right and uses the proper heads.

  • my advice is, get paiste rude cymbals for crashes, zildjian oriental china for chinas lol, practice, put pillows in the bass drum, and set those suckers up better, they suck in the current position. it looks like your havin trouble because there to far apart

  • Well yah I did research my freind can make it sound better and stuff trust me I know what to do:). and im getting a pearl set. oh and ive been playing for 3 years and use double bass

  • i have the same drum set and u probly want to get a new snare head because my snare looked like that and i busted a hole in it.

  • you sure you just didnt hit it too hard?because ive had this set for months and its fine.but if it does bust i have another snare to use till i get a new head

  • yea i probley did hit it to hard but other than dat its a prety good drumset.

  • @theeagrcg haha.u cant hit a snare to hard.get new heads,it will make yur set soudn like a 1300 dolor set

  • @JacobBueno123 Wow..how old are you?? its not the drum. its the skin. And just buy a new drumskin..they all come and go eventually

  • @hoosier9009 I clearly said that he should get a new snare head not a new snare. And im old enough to know what i wrote.

  • @JacobBueno123 oh im sorry im dyslexic lol

  • @hoosier9009 It's cool dude. {-_-}

  • Ya im thinking of buying these. How are they working for you?

  • there good but they need double pedals and more cymbals

  • hey dude.. i would NOT recormend these drums for you!

these are ONLY for noobs.. after a years or something, you think they suck!

go buy a cheap pearl export or a TAMA imperiel star or something.. these kit's can u use for years! do some research on the internet before buying your kit :)

  • i like mine.aslong as u replace the heads and get more cymbols there is no need to go out and buy a better one.unless ure super rich and can afford it.

  • it doesnt have to make expensive.. theck out Ebay or something..

  • U got a great kit but u need moongels a pillow in the bass drum and a Remo falam slam to protect your bass head.
