This is nonsense. 20% of premiums towards overhead. 80% of premiums toward medical care. I think if you look at the P/L statements of companies in almost any industry you'll see that company overhead is much larger than 20%. In my company overhead is closer to 60%. Remember that 20% isn't profit. For profit health insurance carriers actually make between 2-10% annual profit. This is in line or lower than many other industries. Medicare a model of efficiency??? Please!?!

Bill Moyers seems to have trouble understanding that the main goal for insurance companies is not to help sick people, but to see how much money they can make from sick people. This is exactly what insurance companies want, the trust of the American citizens. The difference between insurance companies and buzzards is that buzzards wait until you die before the swoop down to feed off of you. Insurance companies do it while you're sick and are dying. What worse thing could a person do???

This is why Dr Sanjay Gupta & Wolf Blitzer tried to destroy Michael Moore after "Sicko" came out. Moore took them both on & destroyed them. 2 against 1 did wear Moore down b/c Handsome Sanjay did his condescending best to save his professional ass later on the Larry King Show. Moore only managed to stand his ground while pointing out that he sent documented facts to Gupta's producer & this Dr choose to misrepresent those same facts.

FYI; Healthcare in all provinces of Canada is not free. The Sicko movie didn't portray Canada's healthcare HONESTLY;

People are dying waiting for MRI's to diagnose life-threatening health conditions; I personally had to wait 30 months for a MRI to properly diagnose my injury due to workers compensations involvement in my rehabilitation of my injury claim.

Due to workmans compensation denial of my physicians requests I suffered severe multiple injuries and was denied any medical help again;
