what you are doing is animal abuse. That cage is way to small!!!!! And its plastic. It could be very dangerous. if your degus chew the plastic they could die!! It seems like you have no sense of responsibility!

@ricarda123456789 if the degu's are happy, then it's not abuse. They need food, places to climb, a scent wallow, a friend, a bed, and places to dig. I think her set up is fine. There's no set size in which to have your degu. And as long as they have a friend, and you feed them the proper diet and know what you're doing, you're not abusing your animal.

I got 3 degus. I woudn't recommend loads of people doing this, especially is your cats not a wimp, it's most likely to eat them. If my degus had a cage with a plastic bottom they'd chew it really quick even though they do have loads of wood to chew.
