I wonder if this scene of self righteous anger was going through Quark's mind when a year after this Sisko had to bribe him to cover up the crimes of a forger (as part of his plan to trick the Romulans into the war).

@Spiderblade True enough, but Quark didn't know that and given his entire beliefs revolve around how hew-mons are much more ruthless and cutthroat then they would care to admit, I suspect even if he knew about the full scope of Sisko's plans, to him it'd probably just reinforce the 98th rule of Acquisition: every man has his price.

Two things:

1) Even with that ridged-up nose, Kira is still one beautiful Bajoran.

2) If you look really hard at Kira once The Sisko delivers that all-time powerful scolding of his, you can see her look dead at Quark, get stuck on something to say (seriously, how does ANYONE follow that?), look off for a second, before finally getting that line out of her mouth. It's almost as if that scene was ad-libbed, but it was too good to re-shoot, so they left it be.

This is really an excellent scene. This is one of those rare instances where Trek really shows both sides of the argument. The station personnel are infuriated at the idea of these "lords of war" doing business in their station, yet still have to admit that without them, the Bajorans would still be ruled by Cardassia.

I don't think Avery Brooks is "overacting" i just feel he can't convey 'angry' very well. He does a great happy guy, an incredibly convinving father and lots of other stuff. Angry however i have never been personally convinced like i have with the other characters.

Frankly, I'm of the opinion that Avery Brooks IS the best actor in terms of Starfleet Captains. Patrick Stewart runs up a very, very close second and I don't even consider Shatner close to them. People underrate Brook's performance as Sisko simply because they didn't see enough of the series, or just can't appreciate good acting talent.
