Its inredible how open you leave your cities for attack

especially on Deity

I always go for the free walls and veteran archers in all my cities, then the next defense I build is riflemen, screw pikemen. But to leave nothing in all those cities, especially the island ones, its like :O

They're not open for attack. His boarders are secured as he pushes outward.

how come the civs you are playing are not that strong? my last game on deity the germans had cruisers by the 1300s
