Dr. Rogallo invented the wing itself but without a method for steering it, brilliant none the less. Mr. Dickensen added the control frame and turned the wing into a usable aircraft, also brilliant. Bill Moyes showed us what we could do with it and the rest is history. Each of these men added their DNA to the hang glider and give each other credit for their contributions. We wouldn't have what we have without all of these great men, so let's put aside the pissing match and give praise to all!

false information Dickenson is NOT the Bonafied "inventor" of hang gliding nor is he responsible for being the god-head lord high emperor of hang gliding - he was one of many whom advanced the sport in the mid 20th century - to place Dickenson on the high alter as some immortal creator of the hang gliding sport is completely wrong -

I was just reminded of my old times, of a lot of time, folding paper airplanes as a kid....in early 60,s..Wonder if that is another reason to build my "own design" is what we called em.."they called em, the "homebuilts"...way back in 77, thanks for puttin this up...

It's no good having the world's best invention if nobody knows about it.Bill Moyes intrduced a new dimension to thousands of people that can't be understood unless you have been there.He has changed the world much in the way the wright brothers have.If you don't believe this you hav'nt flown in a hang glider.
