  • Derek Trucks doing a nice jopb here!

  • I saw Taj open for The Dead at the Fillmore West in the early seventies.. Taj was wearing a full Dashiki that went to the floor. It was beautiful, as was the man wearing it! I enjoyed an herb break with Garcia and Taj during the band change. Just the three of us standing out on the floor at the right of the stage. (NOT backstage). I remember Jerry commenting on Jesse's excellent guitar work. Native American Jesse Ed Davis was Taj's lead guitaritst and he was a genius at slide, rhythm and lead.

  • 2 years, 20,000 views and 7 "likes". This track is under appreciated. - Although, I must admit, parts of the video are too jumpy and can induce headache; but the audio wails!

  • I played with Taj at a blues jam in Wilmington, NC and we talked about his version on Statesboro blues. I read where it inspired Duane to play slide guitar.

  • @bluesky8921 Where in Wilmington did you see Taj. I am going to school here at UNCW and would love to find somewhere to listen to some good blues.

  • @WallStreet06 I saw him at the Ice House. Too bad they tore it down. I graduated from UNCW in 1997.

  • I agree! Plus the sound quality is deafening!

  • One of the best videos that I have seen on Youtube. Thank you for sharing.

  • Man that was awesome, wish I could be there!

  • SUCH a great show last night!
