LOVED how McQueen wasn't afraid of using Black , Japanese and other women of different backgrounds than what was and still is commonly used today. That man was nothing short of a genius. I just wished he knew that before he decided to take his life :/
I am excited that I tomorrow I am going to the MET to see the McQueen Exhibit. It was this collection that introduced me to him and I have been wowed ever since.
Truly miss your created antenna McQueen. May you rest in peace. You are deeply missed!
Man it's gotta suck to be the first model out there, you gotta stand still for a whole ten minutes!!!!I wonder if they drew straws....it would be a breeze being the last model.
I love how the clothing reflects their place on the board, like pawns, knights, kings, queens, etc. The clothing gets a little more elaborate throughout the show.
first row are the americans, second row the latinas, third row the irish, fourth row are the indians, fifth and sixth row are the japanese and chinese, am i wrong?
Brilliant runway, brilliant designs, brilliant in every sense. The models are strong in their walk, and all the amazing outfits designed seems to suit every individual model out there *o* I simply open my mouth and "wow" throughout the vid. *thumb up* ;-) Outstanding!
I think the "African" girls are the Brazilian section (yellows). Most of them are Russian and Spanish.
Love the section with the Japanese models - the clothes are to die for. The cut, the colour juxtaposition... it's wonderful! Love the traces of historical shilouette in the cut. Yet, it's very sharp, and very modern. It absolutely does not look like he copied historic design.
I don't understand sth... He designed EVERY SINGLE outfit wee see on the runaway... Or he had helped?

Miss him. Sarah Burton is doing an amazing job, but fashion simply isn't the same without Lee Alexander McQueen. RIP.
