  • That is one cool roar

  • Lol, Iain Duncan Smith was an actor in the seventies.

  • Drashigs = AWESOME

oh, and i agree with both of the top comments

  • "GREAT BALLS OF FIRE!"

  • You gotta love the Dishrags.

  • 0:16 *insert penis here*

  • At the very start of the video it looks as though the drashig has been animated!

  • "they ate a spaceship!?"

  • BRING BACK THE DRASHIGS BBC!!!!

  • netgemiplayer-yes she did.-i liked this program

when i was a child however i find it doesn't have the magic for me that it used to.probably cos i'm

    grown up now.

  • What terrifies me most about them is the fact that they look like they're smiling. That one shot at the 0:12 mark makes me feel sick with fear.

  • didn't the blonde piece play Robert Lindsay's girlfriend in Citizen Smith?

  • I would love to see the Drashigs appear in the new Doctor Who series. They would make an awesome enemy. Instead of fighting aliens with intelligence and battle plans, why not fight an alien animal threat like the Drashigs?

Carnival of Monsters is a great story. Too bad my dvd of it is knackered. always freezes during episode 2 =(

  • This episode was pretty good in my opinion, as it had a interesting premise, but its popularity was hurt greatly by its steep death count of................ two (one off screen, and the other was simply planned to be carried out and we never see the result. The Drashigs rock.

  • This short clip tells us one important thing-

    Pertwee-God

    Tennant-Spanner

  • Some people who become the doctor add stuff or lose stuff times has are changeing no matter what happens He would be consider a clasics but kids would never let Pertwee be there doctor even if he was a doctor at one piont

  • That's true. And the Time Continuum maintians it's integrity and self rectifies anomalies, so there can only be one Dr for one time, but those times are eternal and existing parallel to every time, so in a way Pertwe IS the Dr, and so is Tennant, And Baker (C), who was a much maligned but retrospectively brilliant Dr

  • NO! Tennant-God

  • Mmm. I agree.

  • For me the charm of it has always been that it was made on little money and lots of imagination but they also had a good props and great stunt department and brilliant guest actors. And the back of the sofa in my childhood home was brown.

  • These things scared the CRAP outta me when I was a kid! Still have nightmares bout them- Just that piercing whail they make. Shudder

  • CGI has made it too bland. These monsters have a magic to them that has been lost today.

  • @eddiefuzz there are some monsters in the new series that are not (or are barely) CGI

  • besides, they didn't have CGI back in the 70s so this is pretty much the best they could do back then.

  • i loved the drashigs when i was a kid

  • Bring the Drashigs back. They would scare the bloody sh*t out of today's young ones.

  • admitably far scarier and more realistic that the modern ones

no i see why people used to hide behind soafers

  • hmm... bit old aint it, dis film eh.

  • of course, and those Drashigs are utterly terrifying.

They don't stop; they're omnivorous; in this case, that means they eat spaceships as well as humans :-/p
