So, they wrote her a letter to collect her things, and replaced her. But, if you want to listen to her she has some excellent solo music. I recommend falling awake.

OK that 's true, Tuomas is behind the songs, but the voice of Annette doesn 't suit the symphonic sound of the band. I mean, she is a good vocalist but not for this style. Nightwish lost their special character. At least, they could find a soprano so the difference wouldn 't be so obvious. They became famous through the style of operatic metal because this was something different. There r many metal bands, but old Nightwish were, r and will b unique. Childish or not, this is my opinion.

Même si solos sont pas d'une technique extrême, ils sont toujours efficaces, mais ce que je préfère chez ce gratteux, ce sont ses rythmiques et son "son"...j'ai fait une reprise d'une de leur zic (mais y a un gros souci de décalage sur la vidéo...) si tu veux, va jeter un oeil ^^ !

The problem with Annette is that Tarja could create an atmosphere that breathed life into the songs, she has a powerful voice with so much character...she was everything, she was Nightwish. Annette has been thrown into a tough situation. She cant eclipse Tarja. She isnt a bad vocalist, she just doesnt suit Nightwish. Imagine if Tarja replaced one of the Pussycat Dolls? It just wouldnt work.

Tarja was not Nightwish. Nightwish have changed a lot since Tarja was replaced by Annette, but they are still Nightwish. They are still the best Gothic Metal band out there by a long way. Tarja leaving was the 'end of an era' and I think end of an era was Nightwish's best achievement ever, but Tuomas, Marco and Emppu are still there... Nightwish lives... even without Tarja.

Nightwish has denied several times that they are a "Gothic Metal" band. But yes, Nightwish is still Nightwish despite who sings for them.

Hell if they got rid of Annette and Marco and got someone like Randy Travis as the vocalist, and kept their musical style they would still be Nightwish as long as Tuomos was still with them and was still writing the songs.

Lets look at it this way, If Tuomos just one day decided to leave Nightwish for whatever reason, and Marco and Emmpu decided to kick Annette out and rehire Tarja, despite how great that may sound to some, it would be horrible. Tuomos is the one who writes the songs, and composes the lyrics. While he doesn't entirely make up NW, taking him out of the band would be pretty much like taking the entire heart out of the band.
