  • yeah. my vmax was an amazing bike. i still haven't deleted the craigslist ad... i just love to go and read what i wrote when selling... hahaha... but, yeah... the drz400sm is a serious riot. that bike can do ANYTHING. it'll slay rockets on cesar's head mountain and ride wheelies as far as you can imagine. it's just that my tail bone is so bruised from riding the thing, i don't know how much more i can handle. i'll probably sell it at a loss and pick up another sv. i really like the er6n...

  • hey, bro... how tall are you? wondering because i am looking at one of these as a commuter. i'm 6'0" even and was just wondering how cramped i'd be. my dealer doesn't have any in stock, or i'd just mosey on down there to take a gander. thanks!

  • @thelegendthekiller Im a shorter guy, around 5'10'' and the bike fits me great (one of the reasons I got it). You would most likely find it feels a bit small but not to the point that its uncomfortable. only way to tell is to sit on one really, but it is an awesome bike. purchased a z750 recently and was extremely disappointed after riding the glad.

  • @MackM514 man, what was disappointing about the z750?

  • @thelegendthekiller the bike vibrates like a dog shitting razor blades, which can be expected from an inline 4 but its to the point that after an hour my whole bodies numb. Also the thing is simply a dog (relatively speaking, it is quite capable of going upwards of 200 kph), but in most riding applications the gladius actually leaves it in the dust, not what you'd expect from a 66 hp v twin while the z750 claims 98. The z750 engine is just a sleeved down z1000 mill, so its a lot less refined.

  • @MackM514 i had an sv650 and i know the gladius if kind of a spin off. are they similar in seat height and feel? i was considering another sv or even the kawi er6n... just not sure. sucks... i just sold my vmax to a guy in virginia (wish i hadn't) so i could get something a little lighter and better on gas... well... now i have a drz400sm (which is a blast), but it was a serious impulse buy. it's a real blast, but i'm getting older and it makes my keester REAL sore. haha...

  • @thelegendthekiller haha you're gunna think im full of shit but I've had an sv650 AND a 400SM (my family owns a dealership). The sv650 is an amazing bike, and I had tweaked mine to perfection so its probably my favorite, but it feels a lot more like a conventional "sportbike", while the gladius is definitely something new. Seat height on the SV is quite a bit higher, not sure exactly how much. Vmax's are beautiful haha, wish I had one, and the DRZ seat blows. Such a fun bike though :D.

  • @MackM514 OH and fuel mileage on the glad was pretty awesome, (i was getting somewhere around 60-65 mpg). Those er6n's look neat too, but I'm not a kawi guy. bought the 750 because of opportunity lol.

  • hahah yeh, i just bolted a universal muffler tip to the end of the catalytic converter

  • Where can I get this type of exhaust?

  • @cyounglib

my bad i just realized what you were refering to when you say CAT...makes sense i just did my the same way
