  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but this can be turned into a D'arce Choke, right?

  • similiar to a cement mixer

  • There is a yellow belt for 16 years of age and under

  • i love this move i got yellow belt bjj guy on my second day there with this move.

  • @pimppotatoe there is no yellow belt

  • fucking sweet choke

  • thank you very much, you have helped me to learn and master and this submission

  • i like how he just snaps his fingers.

  • I've heard of verbally tapping or doing it with your foot, if you can't use your hand, but I've never seen a snapout. Pretty funny.

  • This hold works and works well in self defense situations.

  • @soulinite unless the floor is cement. self defense != combative sports

  • snap out

  • its like an andacanda choke but a veriation of darce choke

  • ha i go to this wrestling camp its called DOUGHBOY its like hell

  • damn if you dont know how to snap, you're fucked.. haha

  • im a guy that spars alot and i use a modified gator/anaconda choke where i use leavrage to choke like a guillotine insted of risk being counterd when rolling

  • that looks simple enough but cool as shit

  • this is exactly the same as an anaconda choke

  • Im pretty sure the anaconda doesn't incorporate the roll....

  • @Theprinceofponeage The Anaconda can or can not have a gator roll as a setup. This isn't directed to you, but for the person that said the Darce/Brabo choke doesn't have a gator roll, 9/10 times he's right, but sometimes it's neccesary to roll with a Darce/Brabo if they power up to their knees. You can fall back and finish there or gator roll all the way back to the top and finish the Darce normally.

  • deffinatly a darce choke.

  • i won naga with this technique.

  • isnt it almost the same as an anaconda choke?

  • yes! but the roll over is " gator roll" not a gator choke??

    anaconda with a gator roll

  • i always do arm triangles when im in wrestling cuz it doesnt look like your choking them haha

  • anaconda choke=gator roll, and this move works for me a lot

  • WTF!!! SnapouT

  • @BurnedFaceShreder lol wut if the guy cant snap then hes basically screwed

  • gr8 =)

  • wow thats very useful move =)

  • that would be a great way to pin someone in wrestling. but instead of choking them you'd have to cross-face them just like you would if you were trying a "double-trouble"-- =) I'm definetly using this for my next tournament!

  • nice

i wanna try tat on my cousin

    haha

  • would that be a way to pin someone is wrestling if they dont know your choking them?

  • Ha ha where I train at we sometimes call it the Big Rick choke cuz one of the guys there uses it alot.

  • cool dude

  • Ok here is the difference between the wrestling versions and the jiu jitsu version

the freestyle wrestling version is called the gator roll. in the gator roll u lock ur hand in a gable grip around their head and arm and roll them all the way around.

the folkstyle version called the ventriliquist u do the same thing except u keep them on their back for a pin since no points are given for a roll like in freestyle

in the jiu jitsu version do the same thing this guy did just dont include the arm

  • anaconda choke has a different name i see.

  • How did the Ananaconda Choke as it was performed by Nogueira with the roll become the Gator roll. In Pride against a Japanese opponent, Nogueira block the shoot, garnered position shot a couple of needs then secured the choke roll over and then walked is body to the inside of the opponent causing him to tap. This video shadows that exact technique but it's labeled Gator Roll, no big deal really but why change the name. Anaconda's twist into their pray using their muscles to choke the life out.

  • The rolling technique itself is called the gator roll, because that is how alligators roll when they get a hold of their prey to tear off limbs. The head and arm choke combined with the gator roll is generally called the Anaconda choke, but since it's done using a gator roll, you can call it a gator roll choke as well.

  • For god sakes ppl its a gator roll. This is an old wrestling move. Its orig called a gator roll.

  • Anaconda choke and gator roll are the same move. But Eddie Bravo calls it a Gator Roll. So if you are doing 10th planet Jiu Jitsu, you call it a gator roll and if you are doing BJJ, you call it an anaconda.

Some guys in 10th planet also call it the anaconda choke, but I prefer to call it the same way Eddie does ;)

  • anaconda choke, aka minotauro choke.

  • It sucked I got put in this today and passed out =[

  • haha i lol'd

  • awsome cheers man

  • nice submission and tutorial but isn't that an anaconda choke...?

  • anaconda is kinda of like a guillotine i guess idk

  • anaconda choke/gator roll...same thing.

  • Its called a gator roll. Its an old wreslting move.

But of course it has like 20 different names now. Like darch, anaconda, minotauro, and so on.

  • darce and anazonda are 2 different chokes

    this is a darce choke.

darce is when your locking your arms on the OUTSIDE.

anaconda is when you lock your hand to bicep beside his head aka outter arm coming through to his head/your bicep.

  • no I think you have both mixed up, anaconda bicep is against the neck , darce arm shoots under the arm pit

  • nice vid

ps i needed this i won states with it

  • looks like anaconda roll?

  • good video
