I have to admit that the first five times I watched this, I thought that Mufasa was actually going to be alive in his physical form. I'm one of those guys who enjoys a good battle scene but the part where Simba interacts with Mufasa's ghost is by far my favorite part of this movie-very emotional. Disney got this one right.
So, wonder what the other animals out in those fields thought when they looked up and saw a giant ass lion in the sky. To Simba, it was an epiphany. To everyone else who didn't know what the hell was going on, it was the sign of the apocalyps XD
@gilmourguitar123 Hmmmmmm, dunno. It's kinda Pochahonta's 2 me lol!!! And DON'T get me started on 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' lol!!! Anyways, we all have our own opinions :-)
Disney, you have forgotten us. You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten us. Look inside yourself, Disney. You are more than what you have become. Remember who you are.
Ah yes. Part of the great 90's Disney trilogy. Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King. Much love 4 this scene and can't wait 4 the dvd/blu-ray release.
I can tell you this when i have my kids i will show them this amazing piece of disney history Lion King is just a beautiful movie and this scene really takes a big part of me and makes me tear if your father or mother moves on to their after life they are always gonna be with you. No matter what age we get we will always be their child they loved
"Disney, you have forgotten us." "No, how could we?" "You have forgotten who you are,and so forgotten us. Look inside yourselves Disney, you are more than what you've become. You must take your place in the circle of movies." "How do we go back? Films aren't what they used to be." "Remember who you are.You are the best children's movies directors. You are our creators and the one true king." "Remember who you are...." "No! Please! Don't leave us!" Remember... Remember... Remember.
@listia1family only pixar has made me cry in a movie made in the past decade, and even they arent as good anymore. it is a sad sad world we live in today
Look inside yourself, you are more than what you have become. This is the ideal of what our parents see us as, no matter what we'll do in our lives they'll be watching and they will be proud of becoming more than what they expected us to be.
@PhiloAmericana It's that perfect combination of powerful music, beautiful visuals and thundering background thunder. All coupled with the power in James Earl Jones' voice makes each word in these scene carry a sort of unquestionable authority. It was seriously masterfully done.
