  • This is so sad to me it made want to cry

  • I have to admit that the first five times I watched this, I thought that Mufasa was actually going to be alive in his physical form. I'm one of those guys who enjoys a good battle scene but the part where Simba interacts with Mufasa's ghost is by far my favorite part of this movie-very emotional. Disney got this one right.

  • Ahhh... the good times when disney made good movies. I miss this. I miss it lots.

  • #1 Disney movie of all time. :)

  • "long live the king"

  • 2:49 HAMMERTIME!

  • WHAT WAS THAAT?! The weather very peculiar, don't you think? ahhh so awesome

  • So, wonder what the other animals out in those fields thought when they looked up and saw a giant ass lion in the sky. To Simba, it was an epiphany. To everyone else who didn't know what the hell was going on, it was the sign of the apocalyps XD

  • "Look haaaaarder...."

  • @gilmourguitar123 Hmmmmmm, dunno. It's kinda Pochahonta's 2 me lol!!! And DON'T get me started on 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' lol!!! Anyways, we all have our own opinions :-)

i cry every time i see this movie... :(

  • this part has the best music

  • I NEVER KNEW DARTH VADER WAS SIMBAS FATHER!

  • Rafiki's technically a Mandrill

  • The saddest part to me is when Simba runs after his father and cries "Don't leave me, don't leave me". He left him too early in his life.

  • Rafiki always gets my hopes up when he said 'hes alive, and ill show him to you' -god dammit Rafiki :(

  • Goddamn Disney, you were on form when you came up with this one weren't you?

  • feel so sorry for simba... he has lived all his life thinking he killed his father

  • Fuck! why did mufasa have to die. hes the true king!

  • Also "Nooooo, look harder, you see, he lives in you."

  • My favorite quote from this part is "you are more then what you have become."

  • Look inside yourself, you are more than what you have become. This is the ideal of what our parents see us as, no matter what we'll do in our lives they'll be watching and they will be proud of becoming more than what they expected us to be.

  • that place is were rafiki buried's mufasa :D

  • That voice is so powerful. It could move you to belief in God. Why is it that it seems so moral, so certain?

  • @PhiloAmericana u r so right, my friend ;)

  • @PhiloAmericana It's that perfect combination of powerful music, beautiful visuals and thundering background thunder. All coupled with the power in James Earl Jones' voice makes each word in these scene carry a sort of unquestionable authority. It was seriously masterfully done.

  • @PhiloAmericana It's because Mufasa is also the voice of Darth Vader. Enough said.

  • Rafiki is the wise old man character in this movie. There's one in almost every movie that offers guidance and advice to the film's protagonist.

  • w8 mufasa nevr introduced him to rafiki? i saw this 13 years ago so fuzzy on the details

  • @elaminwriter

  • "You said you'd always be there for me!...but your not...and its because of me". Sounds like somethin i coulda told a couple of people, like my dead goldfish ahaha. oh and btw 1 person couldnt remember who they were so they disliked the video ahaha

  • "You said you'd always be there for me!...but your not...and its because of me". Sounds like somethin i coulda told a couple of people, like my dead goldfish ahaha

  • "You have forgotten who you are, and so forgotten me."

  • i cried a little. so what. im still a man. hahah

but in all seriousness, this movie is still so touching.

  • 2:25 Simba: Where the hell is that music coming from 0,0!!

  • I love this scene the most,

    it's such a powerful scene

    where Simba finds the courage

to become the king he was

    always meant to be.

  • Rafiki is awesome! XD

  • @BrairMoss ... Rafiki is a Mandrill, not a Baboon, just saying,

  • @robofish10 Rafiki is refered to as a baboon throughout the entire movie, in fact even where he says "It means you are a baboon and I am not."... just saying.

  • @BrairMoss Rafiki Says "You are a Baboon, and I am not." Saying Simba is a Baboon and Rafiki is not, you helped prove my point. Thanks

  • @BrairMoss actually, he just says "i'm NOT" a baboon. read your own quote.

  • @BrairMoss That is a certain breed of Baboons, which is a Mandrill Baboon

  • @robofish10 mandrill is a baboon but its a diffrent type but same species look it up if yu wnt jus lyk a poodle and a bichon frise a bichon is a poodle jus a diffrent type but its in the poodle race JuSt SaYiNg :-)

  • @robofish10 google mandrill...its called a mandrill baboon

  • @ flymaster

No they aren't. If you're really sure, I'd suggest googling Primate Info Net and going to the fact sheet titled "Mandrillus". Also, research of the mitochondrial DNA of African monkeys establishes a closer phylogenetic relationship between mangabeys and mandrills than mandrills and baboons.

  • @robofish10 That what I thought. It's too bad Rafiki doesn't have the multicolored backside. Also @BrairMoss just because the movie refers to him as a baboon, doesn't mean he isn't drawn as a Mandrill or Drill. Most baboons are dun to dark grey colored, with none of the coloring you see with Rafiki. Baboons are also of a different genus (Papio) while drills are of Genus Mandrillus.

tl;dr Disney illustrators drew a Mandrill instead of a baboon. Primatology rocks. And thanks for posting vid.

  • @mmtotrouble Why thank you. I'm happy to be proven right.

  • @robofish10 he's a mutant mandrill, they wanted to have him be a mandrill but they thought a baboon was a better look so they gave him a tail to make him as perfect as tacco;s

  • uhhhhhh the Queen is stil alive!!! Simbas mom should of just taken over and told Scar to leave

  • @BrairMoss i know but in the 2nd movie they clearly say all they need is one royal lion to rule mated or not

  • @BrairMoss eh i wouldnt throw all the hate on disney. i mean this movie is practically a watered down pg version of hamlet, where the mother is alot worse

  • @BrairMoss king's in charge bitches. queen ain't. go watch sex & the city if you want your stupid political correctness.

  • @BrairMoss yep. they all die or are killed >:( I heard from many different sources that Walt Disney was a FREEMASON!!! if you dont know what those are, look it up. they are evil

  • @BrairMoss actually it's quite the opposite, in the real world lionesses are not able to be leaders of a pride.

  • @BrairMoss

females can't run prides in the wild. it's not in their instincts.. LOL.

  • @Fargosis16 Maybe she didn't want to rule. Maybe she thought Scar would let her help him, and then thought she couldn't fight against him AND the hyenas....

  • @JulieWinchester uhhh in the 2nd movie Kiara HAD to rule if she wanted to or not

  • @Fargosis16 Yes but she's the only heir to the "throne", so she doesn't have a choice. here there are two heirs, Mufasa's wife or Mufasa's brother.

  • @Fargosis16 sure, if Simba's mom was strong enough to take on Scar :D

Lol, this is the jungle world

  • @Fargosis16 That would have been awesome, but then we wouldn't have the epic battle over Pride Rock and too bad it doesn't work that way in the Lion kingdom. :<

  • @Fargosis16 maybe its because she was queen by marriage not by blood.

  • @Fargosis16 Because only a male can the lead pride. Not being sexist thats just the way lions work. Now if there was no males then yes she would of. But because even a small weak male such as Scar is still way bigger and stronger then any female. So they have no say in if he is the leader our not.

  • @Fargosis16 it dont work that way. in the modern world of lions, the lionesses only responsibility is that of the hunt. so even sarabi would have to listen to the evil scar.

  • @Fargosis16 Lionesses are the glue that holds the pride together yes, but they would be lost without the male to guide them, its nothing feminist about it. The male may seem lazy but they patrol over the pride grounds, marking territory and fighting off other male lions encroaching on their turf and enemies. So while Sarabi could have taken it back from Scar, she would have gotten killed easily.

  • ''Remember who you are, you're my son and the one true king'' Epic!

  • I always cry on this scene even now when im 25:)

  • hey guys dont you think somehow this video matches with the Iced Earth song '' Watching Over Me''??

  • Kinda funny that i get more emotional now about these kinda scenes then i was younger..

  • turn up the volume on sum really loud speakers when u get to 3:30... WHOA... serious chills.. made me all tingly..

  • @jorge99lovescali

    it tingles .. MUFASA xD

  • It means you are a baboon... And I'm not.

  • 4:25 gives me chills till this day....disney will never be this epic or good ever again

  • one word: goosepimples....

  • WRONG AGAIN!

  • i'm about to cry watching all the different parts of this movie...the nostalgia literally hurts...
