yes 5'4 is generally unacceptable for modeling especially for me because i'm african american and i'm only slightly underweight =/ generally you will go unnoticed if you're short to be scouted. wearing high heels will not help.

It's really too short for the modeling industry--generally designers want taller girls because their proportions look better for designs on runways. Most models are over 5'7" and they ALSO wear heels.

schatze78 the beauty about models is they dont actually have to be PERFECT in person. They just have to be able to photograph well. I've seen some people who are weird looking, unproportional, and downright akward; yet they have the most beautiful pictures. You have not seen their pictures yet- and thats ultimately what counts.

For a supermodel of the world contest, none of them really caught my eye. They were very pretty, but if I saw them in a magazine, I'd just glance over them. I would expect more to be "WOW!" because of the title. Last night when I was getting my eyebrows done, there were two sisters in there whose parents were from Iran. They were GORGEOUS, tall too, I looked like a shrimp next to them. Everyone's head was turned to look at them. That's what I would expect from this. My two cents.
