Great vid! May mate sent me this to see as he wants to do the same in our Pajeros. How much did the ferry cost? What was the temperatures like at day and 'night'..? How does fuel prices compare to here (at the time) and is it easily available in the 'bush'?
Ferry expensive, c. 300 quid each resturn. I think you can now sail direct from Scrabster in the highlands, so should be cheaper. Check out Smyril Lines.
Temperatures in the summer c. 10 deg daytime, couple of degrees at night, although highlands colder.
Fuel prices pretty much same as UK - probably cheaper in Iceland now! Fuel availability good around the ring road. Worth taking 2 or 3 25 litre jerry cans for trips into the interior though.
