That's the problem with progressive music, no one knows what the hell it is or what other music may accompany it. Math-rock. Post-rock. Ousider metal. Funk metal. It's definitely not easy cutting through the crap in what falls under this genre. Especially Funk metal..guh! So many crap funk metal pop bands came out in the early 90's after RHCP

@slowblood99 Albini did the same thing to the drums in Rapeman, which is why as pure music I find its better than anything that Big Black did. As a package - attitude, appearance, style, lyrics, etc, Big Black had much more of an impact and changed the music scene forever. Rapeman was a quiet little side project which made one awesome album. (Budd sucks.)

This is truthfully one of the best albums of all time.

Steve Albini produced this bands first album, and it comes out sounding better than anything Big Black ever did.

Amazing drums, screeching feedback, and composition.

I actually believe this album is a minor masterpiece.
