@Jackal10110010 Just goes to show, best way to occupy a territory long term is to destroy its indigenous population (and any survivors spiritually broken - never to rise as free sovereign nations). You can apologize later, but you get to keep all that free land.
Brits did bad things in Eire, but they didn't do what the US settlers did, which is why Irish Americans have no preaching rights against the UK over Ireland. Antipathy for the Great Famine, yes; moral lectures, no.

@uhmwppe There is not a single Culture or people nation in the world that is clean of guilt in this matter. The U.S. settlers started as English colonists, and broke free, the Irish might have owned that land for a long time, but who do you think they pillaged it from? There are no people with clean hands in this matter, and you would be well to remember that. As long as your people are free, nationality does not matter. I could give a shit less what they call my nation, so long as I'm free.

@uhmwppe And its not like we are "Keeping" all this land, we manage to coexist, and as long as both people are happy, that's all that matters. The Natives of America now a day are proud to be of the U.S. and I would know, because I myself am a Native of the Spokane Tribe, known in our language as the sun people. This is my land, and my families as well. I am Irish and Native, and I am proud of who I am. Fuck all the rest, if we let the circle of vengeance go, we would all be dead, and guilty.

@0Hanrahanrahanrahan Many Americans are miss-understood, and fearful of change like any people. No one nation is perfect, but as long as we all try to see from each others perspectives we can understand why we do the things we do better. Many in my country are decent and reasonable, but fail to have a voice. Others believe that Change is hopeless or impossible and so they give up before making the attempt. As human beings we must remember that Hope and encouragement is better than criticism.

@0Hanrahanrahanrahan Nationality really isn't Important, we must all remember we are human and we make mistakes and with encouragement and hope we can change the mistakes we make. If we where to all sit around and criticize each other for our failings what good would come from it? You would see us all sink into a hole of denial and hatred for each other instead of acceptance and the willingness to admit our failings, which would result in the changing of our ways. Change happens best in peace.
