haha i love how people just watch top sniper on the history channel an then they all think that they are a marine scout sniper. haha.. its airsoft.....
No m8, I have been gaming for 20 years. As you saw, I went about this nothing like a marine scout/sniper... yet I got the result... so whats wrong with that?
@phantomTMA no im not talking about your video your video is legit.. im talkin about the people in the comments acting like they are scout snipers hah.. that was really good besides the tree cancer hah but its all fun n games.. great video.. what gun is that? i have a CA m24. with pdi hopup chamber and a 6.03 tight bore. plan on upgrading cylinder piston an all that soon.
OK I understand... yes, many people try to tell me how to suck eggs. This is nothing like real sniping.
The tree cancer thing is of little relevance in many situations. Hard cover in a situation that you know is a definite ambush, is worth taking. Cameras never show the full scenario, but basicly, that was the best angle to appraoch from. I climbed the tree purely to try and draw fire and get a look over the foliage in front (the objective was only 25m away).
Yes, my group is the original "6mm Hunters".... we play Hunteering matches amongst ourselves.... please check the link on our channel info, for our website.
Hello i have a M24 utg bolt action and i need help. what kinda of scope should i use? i play like at most 4 acres of land soo please recomnd some scopes but they cant be like 100$ and also what scope do you use?
just get a bog standard 3-9x40 scope. If you can find a cheap version with mil-dot then get that. You don't need any higher magnification than that. Even an unbranded scope will be fine for your application.
Good crap. When you need a higher vantage point in a hurry, look to a tree. I agree GwythawGwyr this is a poor example of movement and operation, however i see the description and at least they know their faults and make pretty decent vids...
Yes, we accept our faults and that is how you learn/improve I guess. In a situation like this vid, we knew there were only 2 opponents, they had shot my partner there earlier and had to hold it for extra points till the end of the game. We let them sit there for hours and then moved in. In such a situation, you expect to be ambushed and our tactic was to try and draw some fire without being hit. I felt they were sat right ontop of the box and played accordingly. Payed off. Good Hunting
I am a sniper and i completely respect what your doing its just my friend and and i who organize big airsoft games in our area have proper military training, f you would like i can send you a pdf of the scout sniper training manual to learn some proper techniques. You guys make nice vids, keep up the work and let me know...
I too have had limited military training. However, this style of gaming is not something you can learn from a manual. It is being alone for 2+ days with a 360 degree arc of threat. So very much is down to judgement as to when/how to move. You can do everything right and still get shot in the back. This is immersion gaming and a game of cat and mouse, stalker and stalked. Yet the more you play, the more you realise it is down to luck. But you can make your own luck, with good play.
Also consider that a "sniper" with tactical training would not walk into an ambush that he is 100% certain is there. However, in this game there was little else we could do to get to the yellow box. There was 2 hours left tof the game to do it.
Anyway, the funny thing is that despite climbing a tree and running in over the open ground (trying to draw fire).... it all worked out =I
It is not a ghillie suit. It is made from natural foliage. This was filmed at the end of the actual game. yes a reconstruction of a real game, exactly as it happened (not made to look like we crawled when we knew we didn't need to after correct prediction of the 2 opponents being right next to the box. I don't want to be a sniper and kill people, I simply like stalking my friends with a safe 6mm Airsoft rifle. There is a big difference.
You are correct, 98 out of 100 times you get away with being in a tree if it has a canopy and stay still and fire only very very sporadic single shots.
ok first off a sniper in a tree dosent mean anything as a sniper u use your surroundings to the best of ur ability that means climbing a tree when needed and laying at the base when needed. so u didnt do anything wrong the ppl typing are prob kids that play to much call of duty
just so long as you can keep yourself safely and sensibly concealed i.e. don't cover your self in grass then hide in a tree (common sense) infact Dutch snipers often sit high up in trees, for recon and protective operations (they certainly do for Nijmegan,)
also don't use obvious cover, such as buildings or behind a tree <-(when in a field with the odd tree or 2)
I am only 14 so it is hard to get really seriously into airsoft but I may be going to a 3 day airsoft event with my team and friends. I will probably be using my ghille and l96 but I might use my WWII american 101st airborne uniform with we-tech 1911 and thompson m1a1.
dude just shut up. the people viewing are problly airsofters and not paintballers. dont try to make us want to play paintball. airsoft is cheaper and more realistic.
Yea they don't go in trees. Once you in there - there is no way out. Snipers don't go somewhere and then have no escape plan. Trees are bad because you have nowhere to go once you in it. Your just a sitting duck.
actually there is somewhere to go when you're in a tree. down. lol only path of egress, therefore not a good place to be. i wouldn't go anywhere and neither would any other sniper than has had any training whatsoever. behind a bush or shrub maybe. definately not a tree. ever heard of what's called tree cancer? it's when you see a big lump at the base of the tree about the size of a person, it can also be a big lump in the branches.
On a mission with a set target a sniper probably wouldnt go in a tree but in a real life combat situation where he has to just eliminate the enemies a tree may be a suitable place especially if he/she has the advantage and can take the enemies out and he doesnt have to escape. And if your going to talk about real life situations if a sniper had LOTS of enemies they probably wouldnt fight them they would wait and take them out one by one so your wrong and right. But dont stir arguments :-D
Luckily I am NOT a sniper. So instead of following some kind of rules, I simply do whatever is most oppertunistic in a game using 6mm Airsoft rifles. If you think this is sniping you ar limiting your own potential IMO.
Being unpredictable gets you more oppertunities to score points.
True but I find you get away with being in a laden tree with a canopy 98 out of 100 times, as humans very rarely look up. The risky part is not being in the tree it is getting up or down it.
Luckily I am NOT a sniper so can just be as oppertunistic as I want to be to be most effective using a simple 6mm Airsoft rifle to stalk my friends.
You would be suprised.... many trees round here have ferns growing on the trunks. I've shot several players from such positions and never been set yet (only after I waved). Good Hunting ;)
Sorry this is not an instructional film. It was taken from a film showing highlights from a 5 day training event. The title is a little misleading. We are actually making an instructional DVD at the moment (see our other films), Good Hunting ;)
I'm some what of a beginner to sniping with a small amount of experience. I've finally decided to invest in a rifle, I've looked at several and my top pick is the VSR-10,any suggestions as to upgrading it? Also, if you could message or respond with some tips on how to camoflauge my gun, that would be great. Thanks. (PS. Im not buying an L96, its way to big in my opinion. I hate oversized guns. I'd like something light, preferably under 10 pounds.)
um rifle camo can be as simple as painting it to elaborate ghillies. I find that burlap and jute twin work good on my K98 in reenacting. Just make sure you can put folilage in the wrap as its always good to blind in.
what i do is get rubberbands and put grass on my rifle from the site u r playin at (also get a veil for ur head to break up the outline of ur head, it is the most spottable part of ur body)
i know i was with my friend,we had to airsoft guns, snipers, and were in a little liek green way kinda like a path with a bunch of trees, and i covered him with ferns and pine branches and his head was the most visible. i was between to large branches on a fall down tree and had pine branche covering it.i had a green belt and put that over my gun and put ferns all around it.
Spring rifles need upgrading to be reliable at high power. Gas rifles can cope with high power but need upgrading to be accurate/consistant. Good Hunting
It took only two. And message me when you get some mor DVEDs cause me and my squad are bored as hell being stationed here in Korea. If you're wondering why I'm in Korea it's because I'm with the USMC 1st Recon Battalion and we're getting ready to go over somewhere 'classified'.
the well L96 is a definate must if you want a good bolt action spring. high acuracy and range with a .2g and with a .28 or .3 it doesnt have as much range but can pin a dime shot after shot at 130ft and farther if you have the time to practice enough for doin the paintball favorite long balling.... not very effective in airsoft but the WELL L96 is the way to go for bolt spring guns.... BUY ONE NOW!!!! and make a good ghillie
Erm, well in this film, the ambushers were concealed and climbing the tree was to get a better LOS. I had to spot them, not hide from them. Good Hunting
Hmm, why do so many people criticize this video? Rather interesting. If your gonna hate it, at least provide a video of yourself doing better. Then you have your bragging rights :P
Yes TM AEP G18C. We limit it to semi auto with 2 X 30 shot magazines to last 2 days as a backup gun or within a dangerous range of a high powered airsoft tool. It is a nice enough gun and has got me some vital tags in long field hunteering games. Its perfect for really close range, unlike some of the more typical and far higher powered gas guns (with green gas) such as the MK23 or 1911 models; which can cause injury at ranges, as seen, in this film. Good Hunting ;)
you are my hero here on youtube (and scoutthedoggie) your vids are great. don't stop doing them plz. do you know if the well l96 is a good gun if you upgrade it??
Your not stalking. Your just strolling around like a bunch of queers. The human eye picks up movement 200 times faster than a still object. very simple to countersnipe you at this pace
You are correct, but if you know the terrain and know what you are doing, you can move faster using dead ground. We guessed where the other team might be and moved in from above. At no stage were we spotted by our opponents until just before I fired. The camera doesn't pick tiny tiny movements that well btw. If you are experienced you know what speed to move at the right time. Watch our m40a1 stalk and shoot film. Good Hunting.
I really think armies should use airsoft for MillSim training, am not sure if they do or don't, it still is great fun though, and everybody gets to go home in the end, unlike real war.
shut up crazymofofoo. this isnt call of duty 4 where you can crawl at 20 mph. standing up and walking is far quicker and you only hide when you can see the enemy. shut the fuck up and dont critisize people because you think youre better than them at something. any of those guys would kick your arse at airsoft, including me given the chance.
to all those who say airsoft sucks, you clearly arent man enough to admit being hit by a 6mm plastic ball.
lol when you said cod4 crawl at 20 mph i was like "i totally fucking agree" but if you crawled at a normal speed nobody would play it lol this video rules!!!!
The reason he probably had the pistol is to my knowlegde because he was spotter and the spotters job is to protect the shooter from enemies that are close in range.
to crazymofofoo he stud up because he knew the other team was close to the yellow box and he used a pistol becaue rifles are hard to turn fast around i do the same thing he did
U GUYS ALL SUK! first, you dont walk in a ghillie suit. you crawl. i could see you soooo eaisly. if u crawl itl cover you. why the fuck r u using a pistol? if ur going to use a ghillie suit, at least get a rifle.
lol yeah I know it looks ridiculous, but its a long story... We knew they were close to the yellow box, as that was the final objective (take and hold the box basicly). I had a gut feeling and that is all as to where they were. There was actually 2 of them. The other guy was 5m to my left, in a trench, when I fired. He had a CAm870 shotgun but reacted too slow to see me. Even though I ran in they never actually heard me and did see me at the last minute but I was behind him. Good Hunting
To be more specific, about running over the field... I knew it was an ambush and that until they fired I probably would not see them. By then it is too late, so I decided to be a hard moving target rather than stalk infront of them. I expected someone could easily be in the long grass field and expected a shot at any second. Using Airsoft guns means you can dodge pellets even up close. So hitting the deck now and again can make the difference if you hit the floor at the right time. Good Hunting
It is not an instructional film... it shows a complete game.... including our mistakes... we have done a 100 minute film before (2004) that showed 2 guys being hunted by teams on ffot and in land rovers, for 2 days. I guess that is escape and evasion. All films are currently sold out :( Good Hunting
i'm dead set on getting the WELL L96 AWP Spring Sniper Rifle, i've seen it in some skirmishes and accuracy tests and it's real nice, is that good for $140?
the main bad thing about them is that you cant get very many upgrades... starter snipers there awsum, then you move on to the $400 classic army m24, but thats a story for another time ;)
Personally, I never rated the Classic Army m24. It had poor trigger and horrid bolt that swivelled when it shouldn't. It was heavy too. I felt it was an over rated copy of an APS2 (but not as good). That was my opinion anyway, I did see 1 that shot OK I suppose.
i have 1, when i first got, compared to my l96, was okay, i liked the feel of it better, i got a new spring+bolt+scope, im shootin right under my local fields limit for snipers (520fps, im at 500-510) i've used it about 5 times, the fps hasnt dropped much
Depends on your environment. Electric is better in urbanised games. Gas is for hot countries or summer use. While spring is very versatile and reliable with best consistancy. Good Hunting

I'd like something light, preferably under 10 pounds.)
thebentrain 3 years ago
um rifle camo can be as simple as painting it to elaborate ghillies. I find that burlap and jute twin work good on my K98 in reenacting. Just make sure you can put folilage in the wrap as its always good to blind in.
KlausGunther 3 years ago
what i do is get rubberbands and put grass on my rifle from the site u r playin at (also get a veil for ur head to break up the outline of ur head, it is the most spottable part of ur body)

i know i was with my friend,we had to airsoft guns, snipers, and were in a little liek green way kinda like a path with a bunch of trees, and i covered him with ferns and pine branches and his head was the most visible. i was between to large branches on a fall down tree and had pine branche covering it.i had a green belt and put that over my gun and put ferns all around it.

I would like a good sniper rifle under the price of 120$us or can do you know a good one?
fatmanontherun 3 years ago
WELL L96A1, is a bolt action type, a good sniper rifle. U can buy it for less than 100$
GianluOwNs 3 years ago
How powerfull is it?
I want a really powerfull, accurate, manual sniper rifle.
im going to order one on gas, because i couldent find any powerfull manual ones :P
pappegye 3 years ago
Spring rifles need upgrading to be reliable at high power. Gas rifles can cope with high power but need upgrading to be accurate/consistant. Good Hunting
phantomTMA 3 years ago
The WELL L96 shoots 500fps out of the box. I shot a nickel sized target from about 240 feet away
Dogfather95 3 years ago
How many shots did it take? Good Hunting
phantomTMA 3 years ago
It took only two. And message me when you get some mor DVEDs cause me and my squad are bored as hell being stationed here in Korea. If you're wondering why I'm in Korea it's because I'm with the USMC 1st Recon Battalion and we're getting ready to go over somewhere 'classified'.
Dogfather95 3 years ago
the well L96 is a definate must if you want a good bolt action spring. high acuracy and range with a .2g and with a .28 or .3 it doesnt have as much range but can pin a dime shot after shot at 130ft and farther if you have the time to practice enough for doin the paintball favorite long balling.... not very effective in airsoft but the WELL L96 is the way to go for bolt spring guns.... BUY ONE NOW!!!! and make a good ghillie
Dpfest08 3 years ago
Im a fan of the jg bar-10. v hop up, great upgrades, pretty good stock, not too expensive. Just a great all around gun.
unclewaltsoup 3 years ago
get a utg master sniper gen 3 bolt it shoots around 420 with a 28 g bb and is acurate up to 180 feet

phantomTMA 3 years ago
nah sniper dont climb trees nowadays
pimptastic666 3 years ago
Wierd how it worked. Perhaps modern "snipers" are getting too predictable? Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 3 years ago
i good sniper wouldnt have to get in a tree if he was good at camoflage and concealment.
pimptastic666 3 years ago
Erm, well in this film, the ambushers were concealed and climbing the tree was to get a better LOS. I had to spot them, not hide from them. Good Hunting

is the gun at 3:38 a glock 18 aep??
justfunky95 3 years ago
Yes TM AEP G18C. We limit it to semi auto with 2 X 30 shot magazines to last 2 days as a backup gun or within a dangerous range of a high powered airsoft tool. It is a nice enough gun and has got me some vital tags in long field hunteering games. Its perfect for really close range, unlike some of the more typical and far higher powered gas guns (with green gas) such as the MK23 or 1911 models; which can cause injury at ranges, as seen, in this film. Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 3 years ago
you are my hero here on youtube (and scoutthedoggie) your vids are great. don't stop doing them plz. do you know if the well l96 is a good gun if you upgrade it??
justfunky95 3 years ago
BAR10.VSR10 are better rifles. The best arctic warfare style rifle is the AICS with vsr conversion added IMO. Good Hunting

Lame!!! Get a real rifle and "try" to stalk a deer or something.
woolygator 3 years ago
I have upright stalked a deer to within 2m and not been behind any cover at all. As for deer; check out my other films. Good Hunting
phantomTMA 3 years ago
LAME!!!!
woolygator 3 years ago
Your not stalking. Your just strolling around like a bunch of queers. The human eye picks up movement 200 times faster than a still object. very simple to countersnipe you at this pace
woolygator 3 years ago
You are correct, but if you know the terrain and know what you are doing, you can move faster using dead ground. We guessed where the other team might be and moved in from above. At no stage were we spotted by our opponents until just before I fired. The camera doesn't pick tiny tiny movements that well btw. If you are experienced you know what speed to move at the right time. Watch our m40a1 stalk and shoot film. Good Hunting.

I really think armies should use airsoft for MillSim training, am not sure if they do or don't, it still is great fun though, and everybody gets to go home in the end, unlike real war.
Ome99 3 years ago
they do but very limited, i think they should go all out with it, i mean they are using ultra high power gas guns for riot control lol so why not

shut up crazymofofoo. this isnt call of duty 4 where you can crawl at 20 mph. standing up and walking is far quicker and you only hide when you can see the enemy. shut the fuck up and dont critisize people because you think youre better than them at something. any of those guys would kick your arse at airsoft, including me given the chance.
to all those who say airsoft sucks, you clearly arent man enough to admit being hit by a 6mm plastic ball.
whitetrash96 3 years ago
lol when you said cod4 crawl at 20 mph i was like "i totally fucking agree" but if you crawled at a normal speed nobody would play it lol this video rules!!!!

The reason he probably had the pistol is to my knowlegde because he was spotter and the spotters job is to protect the shooter from enemies that are close in range.
Reddery56 3 years ago 3
to crazymofofoo he stud up because he knew the other team was close to the yellow box and he used a pistol becaue rifles are hard to turn fast around i do the same thing he did
pz2498 3 years ago
U GUYS ALL SUK! first, you dont walk in a ghillie suit. you crawl. i could see you soooo eaisly. if u crawl itl cover you. why the fuck r u using a pistol? if ur going to use a ghillie suit, at least get a rifle.
crazymofofoo 3 years ago
isnt this the music from the good, the bad, and the ugly?

Yes. Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 3 years ago
where are you from
msbanana1505 3 years ago
wtf was he doing when he ran over the field :-D
309Brille 3 years ago
lol yeah I know it looks ridiculous, but its a long story... Good Hunting
phantomTMA 3 years ago
To be more specific, about running over the field... I knew it was an ambush and that until they fired I probably would not see them. By then it is too late, so I decided to be a hard moving target rather than stalk infront of them. I expected someone could easily be in the long grass field and expected a shot at any second. Using Airsoft guns means you can dodge pellets even up close. So hitting the deck now and again can make the difference if you hit the floor at the right time. Good Hunting
phantomTMA 3 years ago
were have you guys got the ghilli suit send a link to the store or what it is
Dum3ga 3 years ago
I think they make them themselves with a webtex as a base and using grass and natural foliage.

does your movie teach how to escape and evade capture cause it should...and how much money is the dvd
gooberman5000 3 years ago 2
It is not an instructional film... it shows a complete game.... including our mistakes... we have done a 100 minute film before (2004) that showed 2 guys being hunted by teams on ffot and in land rovers, for 2 days. I guess that is escape and evasion. All films are currently sold out :( Good Hunting

i'm dead set on getting the WELL L96 AWP Spring Sniper Rifle, i've seen it in some skirmishes and accuracy tests and it's real nice, is that good for $140?
yellowsunset 4 years ago
the main bad thing about them is that you cant get very many upgrades... starter snipers there awsum, then you move on to the $400 classic army m24, but thats a story for another time ;)
RSandCS 3 years ago
Personally, I never rated the Classic Army m24. It had poor trigger and horrid bolt that swivelled when it shouldn't. It was heavy too. I felt it was an over rated copy of an APS2 (but not as good). That was my opinion anyway, I did see 1 that shot OK I suppose.
Good Hunting
phantomTMA 3 years ago
i have 1, when i first got, compared to my l96, was okay, i liked the feel of it better, i got a new spring+bolt+scope, im shootin right under my local fields limit for snipers (520fps, im at 500-510) i've used it about 5 times, the fps hasnt dropped much

what is the best type of airsoft : spring , gaz or electrics ?
superboby007 4 years ago
Depends on your environment. Electric is better in urbanised games. Gas is for hot countries or summer use. While spring is very versatile and reliable with best consistancy. Good Hunting

whats the best spring rifle out right now that i could shoot a good distance with and a nice price?
