my daughters name is lullaby, so evertime he says lullaby at the end of every chorus part i cry, this is a very sad song, its so beautiful though! its not some stupid song about a "bad girlfriend" or anything like that, it lets you feel what sarah feels, this IS music!

This song is beautiful in the most tragic sense of the word. Its so beautiful in the way it moves you. The way it brings you to tears, shakes your soul, gives you goosebumps, breaks your heart. The powerful emotions in this song mixed w/ Justin's soulful, angelic voice is beyond chilling. There is beauty in sadness. The way the mother's life was falling apart w/o the presence of her baby shows the strength of a mother's love. & when she dies is somehow beautiful cuz now she can hold Katie.

Heres what I got from the song. Maybe I'm wrong but idk.. Sarah is the mom who was speeding (20 mi too fast) and crashed and her daughter Katie died. She is at fault and feels guilt (Cigarettes are stamped on the desk and empty bottles on the ground). Then later that same year she wrecks her car again (30 mi too fast) (Shattered mirror of the past) and she dies (This time Katie takes her hand). Its a really beautiful song, although terribly sad.

Thats crazy.. This song is really amazing. All of his songs have background behind them or some kind of meaning. So katie died which was Sarah's (katies mom) daughter. Sarah couldn't live with the fact that her only joy was now gone, and she was left all alone. So she commited suicide, sarah tattoed katie on her arm katie's grandmother which was sarah's mother had had Sarah tattooed on her arm. Now the grandmother has to live on. She is living.(grandmother lives on).
