Yo man! Great BIke! I have the same and i'd like to transform it. I have a question, i'd like to use the almost straight Kawa H1 500 bar, but i'm afraid to have a contact with the fuel tank while turning... Have you had the same problem with your bike? did you need to modify or change the fuel tank with a slimmer one? Thanks. Sorry for my english, I'm italian.... :)
@RamonPadova hi - the bars i used do hit the tank if you have them too low. You have to have them higher than a certain angle so they clear the tank. If you are talking about clip-ons, im almost certain they will hit the tank. I have ordered some to confirm because i prefer the look, however if you are talking about straight 'drag' bars they will be fine.

This is awesome! do you know of any site that discusses how to do this? I love the front end - handle bars and lowered light / cluster / forks. I'm looking for some place that helps detail how to do this
@PluralBus Thanks - the best source for beginners is a forum called dotheton.com which has heaps of build threads and projects. I pt my whol build from start to finish on there...
Beautiful! How did you mount those gauges? Did you have to custom make the mount?

Those KZ engines -- so much nicer looking than the Honda engines of that era. Perfect for café racers.

@whoybeen i painted the frame - but the gold and gun-metal paint was done by a pro here in Canberra (Redback in Fyshwick).
Its a 1976 model

OMG! That seat and custom gauge cluster is toooooo cool.
Did you make them yourself?
YA2FAST 1 year ago
@YA2FAST thanks- yeah dash designed in AutoCAD and cutout using 4mm aluminium and CNC machine. The seat was fibreglass attached to a stock seat base.
