Well, i'm French and my family did suffer a great deal from the nazi....I respect and love the partisans and the french resistance but why do we see De Gaulle as a fucking hero in that video?...He never been a hero. Later he was an awfull president (close to a dictateur), so awfull that the French started a new riot which was close to a revolution. and that fucker bertaved so many people during the war in Algeria,

Good evening I'm French, so excuse me for my English, I see that some English say we are "surrender" Excuse me, but we we are not stashed on an island and you seem to forget that Pétain who capitulate and not the French people demonstrated there had a lot of resistance, and info in 800 years, France has 185 battles, she won 132, lost 43 times and has 10 times removed, is that fact that France has the best results in the world. @77verlaine Je vis au Québec où des Français se font offrir des études qui me coûtent 7 fois plus cher que chez vous. Ils payent le même prix que chez vous et je m'en accommode très bien. Ce ne sont pas tous les immigrants qui se contentent de glander il faut éviter de généraliser le concept. Ceux qui l'avaient généraliser mon grand père a du traverser l'Océan pour aller leur botter le cul.

Oui peut être mais c'est PEU de français beaucoup vont sur Paris et je peux te dire qu'en France presque tous les étrangers sont là pour les allocations etc. Mais ce qui m'énerve le plus, c'est que certains étrangers disent que leur pays d'origine c'est le meilleur, le plus beau tout ça mais si il est si beau pourquoi ils n'y vont pas ? et aussi ils sont en France et ils parlent arabe c'est normal ca ? ben je suis désolé mais je l'accepte ca et il y a beaucoup de français comme moi

@77verlaine reste que je trouve que c'est de pisser sur les tombes de ceux qui se sont battu et ont fait le sacrifice ultime pour qu'on ait le droit d'être ce qu'on est. Ici, au Québec c'est encore plus criant comme situation, (7 000 000 de francophones qui se noient dans une mer de plus de 300 000 000 d'anglos) alors nous aussi on est écoeuré de les voir se pogner les fesses à nos frais mais on est surtout écoeuré du laxisme de nos gouvernements qui préfèrent avoir leur vote

Juste une chose, je peux te dire que si un jour il y a une nouvelle guerre mondial, je pense que cette fois-ci la France ne sera pas de votre côté car déjà pendant la seconde, les groupes racistes ont faillit prendre le pouvoir donc c'était limite. Et maintenant regarde le score du FN aux prochaines élections et tu verras que même en temps de paix il fait un score élevé.

As a Brit, I'm embarrassed by the way we insult the French by callng them 'Surrender Monkeys'. We tend to forget the sacrifices they made resisting the Nazi Occupation. You only have to visit the Ghost village at Oradour-sur-Glane to see the suffering they endured.

The truth is painful and shameful, you did nothing to fight against Germans. And then read something about Warsaw Uprising and Polish Underground State !!!

You're completely ignoring the contributions made by not only the French Resistance, but also the Free French units who fought with the Allies. Also, you're completely ignoring the reason why Petain surrendered in the first place. He did it because of his experiences during the Battle of Verdun, where many French lives were lost during Germany's attempts to 'Bleed the French White'.

@mcbeth357 Exactly, their rearguard actions helped to prevent the Germans overrunning Dunkirk, and killing everyone on the beaches. It was a shame we could only evacuate something like 40,000 French at the time. Still, they formed the basis of what became the Free French forces.

@bruce3371 ...They made bugger all attempts to resist the German occupation. Only around D-day and onwards was the French resistance particularly active.....and only then because they knew they'd be on the winning side. Most French were very compliant to the Germans......they made no fuss when French Jews were sent to Auscwitz for gassing. Alot of what is said about the French resistance is pure mythology.

@bruce3371 ..amoungst many books I've read......how about 'Das Reich' by Max Hastings ..which is about the march of the 2nd SS Panzer division through France in June 1944......it talks alot about the Resistance and their involvement with SOE ......Violette Szabo...... etc...and the Oradour Massacre which was conducted by the 2nd SS Panzer Divison. Anyway any good the French resistence did do was down to British training and weapons through the SOE

@Aussiephil99 All the books I've read, talk about the fact that Resistance was slow to materialise, because of all the different political factions involved. Too many different groups not coordinating their actions, which, in turn lessened their impact on the Germans. Nowhere have I ever read that the French 'Did bugger all' before 1944. Yes, sure, Britain sending SOE did a lot towards coordinating the different groups and making them more effective.

You got that right the french took german occupation very well, they were a nation of collaborators, then when they were liberated, every french male over the age of 12 suddenly claimed they'd been in the resistance, while they bravely ran around and shaved the heads of girls that had dated german soldiers.

Ce chant est d'actualité, nous subissons une invasion insidieuse. Chaque jours on nous manque de respect, on crache sur ce qu'est la France, c'est traditions, son histoire, son peuple et son drapeau. La vie dans les grandes villes est devenue insupportable. Ceux qui dirons le contraire sont des bobos ou des hypocrites. Aimons nous et Aidons tout être en détresse. Pour cela ne laissons pas notre chère France au griffes d'autre corbeaux (cela vaux aussi bien pour les grand patrons et autre lobby)
