How to use Sizzix Simple Impressions in a Cuttlebug Machine

The mat is what allows you to emboss so yes you need it! The Spellbinders tan mat will do the same

Is a texture mat an absolute necessity or do you just recommend it? My friends cuttlebug is marked from use with cuttlebug dies etc but she said it was normal. I have just purchased a cuttlebug machine as well as some sizzix simple ipressions but dont have a texture mat and dont want to buy a sizzix one. Is there any other kind of matting I could use and where would I buy from and the size id need please.
